YBF had to find a way to throw Beyonce up in the mix. That chick was no where to be found this whole weekend and I was enjoying her not trying to steal the spot light. Do we need to post everything she posts on her website? We can go there and read it. and she posts the same ish for every celebrity that passes.

I know Clive Davis wanted Jennifer H to be the one to do the tribute but wait a minute now! Jennifer H voice is not my fav vocalist and I will never accept her no matter how Clive pushes her to the forefront. J-Hud voice is soooo ugly and harsh and old lady sounding. I hate her voice always have and always will! She does not have that beautiful rare angelic voice like Whitney Houston did. Some people are just loud without a true beauty to their voice. JHud does not have it to me. As a true Whitney H fan we know true musical talent and she down right can't sing. True musical talent has no color to me. Whitney Houston was always my #1 top vocalist #2 Mariah C #3 Christina A . Christina Aguilera did a good tribute to WH yrs ago singing "Run to You" and did a million times better than J-Hud could ever do! I love beautiful voices no matter who you are. They should have did a medley of singers like Kelly Price and Faith Evans, Tamia, Ce Ce Winans or Monica. J-Hud has to first sound good as these ladies before she should be singing any tributes to Whitney Hud. I hate harsh singers like J-Hud and Mary J. Just because they are black does mean they are the best of the best to me. Leona Lewis has a great voice to me she should be allowed to do a tribute. Celine Deon would have been good. Clive Davis need not think J-hud can fill that void that our beloved WH has left. Whitney was talented and beautiful. J-hud is not a little bit attractive to me and worst of all can not sing! I will never accept this chick! I love great vocalist and she does not even come close! To that person that thinks Tina Turner is dead last I checked she is alive and kicking. Ike is dead ok get it straight.

Oh people stop it! J-Hud sounded amazing considering she was holding back tears the entire time! You go up there and sing a tribute to someone who you idolized and were close with and be 100%!. She was amazing, but it was obvious she held back. Whitney lives on through Jennifer Hudson, because she is the last real "sanger" left, besides Mary J.

I can't believe there are ppl who think Beyonce can cover a Whitney song & do it justice. I dont even think beyonce thinks she can do a whitney song. Its a shame that she is all this generation has its a shame to not know what a real vocalist sounds like. I'm so glad I grew up at a time when there were real singers bc I can appreciate vocal skills to know the difference when someone is just getting by. Beyonce can carry a tune as long as she stays in her limits, if she really were a strong versatile vocalist there would be no way possible she could coochie pop all over the stage like that & still carry her notes. But its bc theres nothing complicated about her vocals, she is an average singer not an extraordinary one like whitney... A singer with strong vocals would not be able to pull off those tough notes while delivering violent pelvic thrusts at high speeds... No not a real singer... Of these pop girls now Monica might be the only real vocalist..

Jennifer could have sung that song better than that. That performance was disappointing

Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Leona Lewis, or Mariah Carey are the only names that would do Whitney justice. Although we have never heard a Beyonce cover of a Whitney song, whitney has honed her as an incredible vocalist! Christina Aguilera at the BET awards, enough said. Leona Lewis on the U.K. X-factor! Mariah Carey, well there is nothing left to be said aside from, this is the only woman who could touch Whitney in her prime. Jennifer Hudson????I like her sometimes, but she is really off and on!

I do not like Jennifer Hudson at all. I am sure she is a nice person- but as far as a "talented- great voice" she doesnt hold a candle to the greats. There is absolutely nothing unique about her at all, she yells out all her songs and I have never been moved by her performances. I think we have all been so desperate for a new "great voice" that she made enough noise and we settled. She is an American Idol reject for goodness sakes, and she sang in dreamgirls and did OK. but Jennifer Holiday is the creator of that sound. I never stopped using Whitney as the barometer for great singers, so I was never fooled by Jhuds big mouth. I agree with those who said we need to take it back to the roots and get some of whits soul sisters up there to do her some justice in their own way- not to mimic or get publicity but who she hung out with hell maybe even smoked a joint with... shit.
