Nicki Minaj "rapped" while suspended in mid-air (never seen that before) on the Grammys Sunday night for an over-produced performance of "Roman Holiday." Watch it inside....

Nicki Minaj (who arrived with "The Pope" & Sarafee) gave a churchy performance of "Roman Holiday" at the Grammys tonight. And it seemed like she was attempting to do the 2012 even more controversial version of Madonna's "Like A Prayer."

There's a fine line between creativity and hoopla because you can. The performance was ahrd to follow, especally witht he minute and a half "mini movie" she showed and then switched into levitation and holy water for the on stage performance.

I'm not so much upset with the concept - getting her alter ego Roman "exorcised". It was the execution of the concept that was problematic. It was too complicated, too many moving parts and none of them executed well, Nicki's "rapping" was bad - was she lip-syncing, was it live? I just don't know which but either way, it sounded bad. And another thing - WHY THIS SONG? The song is a bust; it's not even a decent B side. Artists always perform THEIR BEST MUSIC ON THE GRAMMY'S. So don't understand at all why Nicki would perform that GOD AWFUL SONG?!

I think this was the most awful thing I ever had the misfortune to see. It was so apt that the priest was blocking his ears in sheer horror at the beginning of the set, because she sounded awful. This is the Grammys, not the AMAs. And please, let's not give her credit for starting some row with the Catholic Church, if she was smart, she would try to be original instead of trying to copy a controversy Madonna pulled off decades ago, and she would stop trying to be the Black Madge Gaga. This is not talent, this is pure mess!

I am so happy this happened.

I am so happy this happened. It proves the old saying " give a person enough rope and they will hang themselves" to be 100% true every time. She just commit career suicide and I for one saw this coming. She thinks that being "crazy" is different and cool but the jig is up. She cant even fake "crazy" good enough. She is just another lost soul who got caught up in her own hype. I am not trying to drop too much knowledge but there is a team of people she looks to for guidance that is pushing this crap on her telling her it's "hot" and that she should "be daring" or whatever- and she, like a dumb deer has gotten caught up in the Hollywood lights not knowing that she is on the chopping block and when it backfires- those same people will disappear and deny association with her and be on to the "next big thing" So I will end with a quote from Audrey Lorde ( and my movie the Best Man) " You have to define yourself for yourself otherwise you will be crunched into other peoples fantasies of you and eaten alive" CHOMP- shes forgotten who she really is(If she ever knew)

Folks dont push your beliefs on others. Everyone has the right to believe whatever they like, this is why people come to America. I have friends of many religions and some friends who are atheist; all of them I consider very good people and would not like them being told they would burn in hell if they do not accept Jesus. This is half the appeal of America, religious freedoms. Please keep that in mind folks. You wouldn’t want downplaying your religious beliefs or pushing their beliefs on you. I've never had reason to say to anyone 'u're going to hell' as a christian. If u don't want to hear it, don't ask me. But it is a key part of our ideology that if someone is not accepting the teachings of Jesus Christ, they'll go to hell. Other religions have their own consequences to dissenting from their worldview/spiritual ideology. Muslims think I'm going to hell (Catholics do too, and Jews think I'm disrespectful to God). I won't sugarcoat or change it to make you feel better. I try as much as possible (IT IS VERY HARD) to live a Christian life. But I do believe those who don't are going to hell. Those are my beliefs and I'm sticking to them and they influence the way I vote. You can't police my thoughts and my vote is just that - MINE.

Ummm... The Golden Rule didn't come from Jesus or Christianity. There are religions older than Christianity (Jesus) that teach the same principle for living, just worded differently. Compared to some religions, Christianity and Jesus are relatively new.
