A sneak peek at Whitney Houston behind the scenes of the film Sparkle has been released. See the pic inside and also see footage of Whitney singing "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" on the set....

Planned for an August 2012 release, Whitney Houston will make one her final big screen appearance (that we know of) in Sparkle. A photo of the late Whitney from the the film has been released and she looked amazing.

Also, behind the scenes footage has been released too.

Love, Love, Love me some Whitney! Can't wait to see Sparkle!! But um hell no, to Beyonce, or JHud playing Whitney!!! Neither one can act in my opinion! And I don't give a dayum about JHud having an Oscar! I was not, and am still not a fan of her singing nor acting abilities! Beyonce is HORRIBLE when it comes to acting & should be BANNED from the silver screen!!! I guess, it's always good to recreated the tragic ending of other people's lives and recyle them back into a celeb's ending who seemed to live a similiar life. IMO, the media was so disrespectful Whitney's final days. I've read media folks calling this a waste...Saying that her image was tarnished. When Gov Christie wanted to fly the flag half-staff in NJ for Whitney, folks were hiding their bigotry by labeling this woman a "crack whore."Like really? Sadly, it seems many people wanted to keep Whitney in the past. It seemed like they had a hard time letting her heal and giving her a chance to stumble and pick herself back up. It seems every time Whitney's name was mentioned, folks were looking for the "Bobby and Whitney" show to begin. It seemed as if Whitney wanted to move on with her life but we wanted to keep her the way she was while married to Bobby. Whose fault is that? In the time that Whitney left Bobby in 2009 and went on the road to recovery, these are some well known celebs who I can think of off the top of my head, who has had their bout with drugs of all kind and have been in and out of rehab for their drug addictions; Charlie Sheen, Lindsey Lohan, Brett Michaels, Demi Moore, and Heather Lockelear. Out of all of those celebs, which one has the media ever publically labeled a drug addict. Not one of them. Despite their amount of public and private drug uses and rehab stints. For as much ribbing the media gave to some of them, not one of them was labeled a drug addict. All I want to know is, why is Whitney treated with such disrespect when all it seemed she wanted was for us to let her past be her past and help her on her new journey. But instead, all many of us wanted her to keep falling so we can laugh and mock her and call her all the names the media can label her a drug addict.

I agree with @Mabel it is because Whitney is Black. Let me add River Phoenix, Marilyn Monroe, Jim Morrison, and not very but more recently Heath Ledger. When Heath died it was so 'sad' (and it was) and everyone was so sympathetic about his troubles, depression, how much of a loner he was. He wasn't labeled an addict, no he was just 'deeply artistic' and suffered SO much because of it. Never mind that he also left behind a young child, way younger than Bobbi K., who will be raised with no father because he couldn't kick his habit. Whitney is criticized however when her numerous trips to rehab were to try to get clean because among other things she knew she had a child to live for. Heath also was given the benefit of the doubt and his death is still considered an 'accidental overdose'. Everyone assumes however Whitney died with a crack pipe to her lips. No, she died due to today's most dangerous and criminal drug dealers, prescription-writing doctors with big mortgages and no scruples. All of these situations are tragic and I'm not putting anyone down. But let's remember 1. Addiction is a disease, and 2. Let's stick together as Black people for our celebrities who receive such unfair treatment already and give them the 2nd chances, extra consideration, support and care they deserve, not just in death but in life. Don't let comedians cross the line in making fun of them and don't let the media get away with insinuations and disrespect. I know I wrote a book and I didn't mean to but I've looked it over and there's nothing I want to edit.

Amen! That's why I am glad I was raised in a place where I got to learn about natural herbs and how to use them. Not even Tylenol I take these days for a headache, I use natural cures. Prescription drugs kill and they are dangerous. Alcohol is also something that black people should consume rarely, and if they can mange to, never. While the average Russian, German or Polish male can drink gargantuan amounts of alcohol, we are not created in the same way, alcohol is not our friend. Black people have no clue how delicate their bodies are to these unnatural compounds. I have known 2 people one was just 40, the other was 44 who died from alcohol related causes. Very young people who easily could have lived for another 40 years. Native Americans lives were destroyed after the introduction of alcohol to their communities. African American communities were decimated after the introduction of drugs and alcohol. Let the creators of these destroyers of life be the ones to consume them. Funny that Michael Jackson died from the same prescription drugs. Goes to show the new killer for AAs will be prescription drugs. Please, if you have a chronic disease or suffering ill-health continue to receive your medical care. However, research what alternatives are available to you re: weight loss, dietary changes, naturopathic and homeopathic options. Do not stop taking your medication without proper guidance and having a suitable replacement.

You and I know the answer is clearly because she is black. I watched an old western movie the other day called Hombre and one of the character stated: " One thing, white people always stick together and you better remember that". You know what? it is absolutely true, they will never vilify or put down their own, only when it is an extreme case will they do it. They don't even vilify their pedophiles and sex fiends. Princess Diana was a very promiscuous woman and when she died the world lauded her and everyone forgot about her many embarrassing affairs. Whitney has died and all people want to talk about is her personal struggles. Her personal life was her own, she shared her professional self with us and nobody can say she was not the leader in her field. She was a consummate professional and therefore deserves every accolade, recognition and remembrance she has received since her death. She will never be a drug user in my mind, she will always stand out as the greatest female vocalist to have ever lived whenever I think about her. I never saw her doing drugs, I have only ever seen her sing and act and that is the way I will forever remember her.

Amazing voice and woman. She definitely set the bar for all the female artists today, the black ones but not only, by being a singer/model/actress, etc..She accomplished a lot. I truly hope that in her last days she didn't just see the criticisms but that she was fully aware of how MUCH people really loved and respected her. People are talking about her much nicer now but we have to show people courtesy and care and consideration when they're alive too.

Whitney dies 15 years ago. when she could no longer sing. All you have to do is listen to her first album then the following, to know when she died.
