Best Actress nominee Viola Davis just walked the 84th Annual Academy Awards red carpet in an emerald Vera Wang creation. Decide if you love it inside...

When I heard Vera Wang would be dressing Mrs. Viola tonight, I wasn't sure if it would be a jaw dropper like we would all love. However, this is a stunning color, the sexy strapless cut shows off her bangin' bod, and the gown is embellished at the bust with a complimentary dramatic pleated chiffon train. It's not my absolute fave look of Viola's this award season, but it indeed raised a brow and she looks gorgeous.

We DO love that she took off the wig once again and is rocking her natural hair. And she looks more confident than ever!

the gown is a beautiful emerald green, think she chose the red hair to compliment the green gown. however darker hair would have been a better match (even a darker shade of red hair would have been better), with it framing her face more. she could have pulled off a shade of red or berry lipstick, instead of the natural look she had for her lips. color would have been more glamorous. just outstanding that she was nominated for an oscar. go viola!

Although I agree that something is slightly off with her makeup, I lover her overall look. The emerald green is a beautiful complement to her skin tone and I love her hair. Her wigs seem to age her. Glad that she stepped out of the box and did something fresh.

I was hoping to be wowed by Viola but this isn't it. Do not like the dress and do not like that color in her hair. Hopefully she goes back to a darker color which looks better on her. Whoever does her makeup is being a little too heavy handed. Just because she has natural hair does not mean that the makeup should be piled on.

I agree with your comments Her team failed on this one. The makeup was applied thickly and her skin wasn't hydrated before the makeup was put on. She has a great figure so Vera Wang got this wrong. The beading and the chiffon did not work well together. Also, she should have gotten simple but large emeralds. I like her hair; the color could be shinier but it looks great. I just wish they would stop talking about her hair. They make it seem like she stopped doing cocaine. The commentary is so annoying.

I can't believe in 2012 the makeup artist could not match her properly, do her eyebrows right and put some nice eyeshadow on.
