Kanye West Goes DARK & EDGY For His Fall/Winter 2012 Collection For Paris Fashion Week

Oh what a difference a year makes.  Kanye West returned to the runway tonight at Paris Fashion Week.  The guru rapper/producer proved if you give him a chance, he can hold his own in fashion as well.

 

Kanye revealed his brand new Fall/Winter 2012 collection tonight with his celebrity and designer friends in tow.  Pics inside from the show...

In a much improved (from his first attempt) collection, Kanye (above after his show with VOGUE's Anna Dello Russo) showed a polished, structured, luxe, edgy with sex appeal theme. Tall banded leather boots and sheer and cut-out booties accompanied all of his looks.  And his recent work with Givenchy (many of Kanye's WTT tour clothes were made with the deisgner) clearly showed through in Kanye's second collection.

Diddy and Cassie sat together front row, of course. 

Cassie kicked it with Sky Ferreira and Ricardo Ticci.

Kim Kardashian (front row with Big Sean) flew in for the show and rocked her Giussepe Zanotti for Kanye West shoes.  Also in attendance: Waka Flocka (yeah, you read that right), Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Azzedine Alaia, Christopher Kane, Ron Burkle, Ricardo Tisci (designer and Creative Director for Givenchy), Guiseppe Zanotti, and Silvia Fendi.

 

Alicia Keys chatted up Rosario Dawson.  We peep Common too.


And her hubby Swizzy and Diddy snapped some Instagram pics.

Teyana Taylor also flew out for the event.

Wow Kanye, I can't even hate. This collection actually is really fly! Beautiful silhouettes and fabric choices and the looks are unique and haven't all been seen before. LOVE the banded boots and I'm living for that sheer blouse with the black fur bottom. Congrats to Kanye for stepping his game up. S/N 'm still not convinced about those Guiseppe Zanotti shoes he designed that Kim K is wearing. I still think they look a little mammie-made.

I'm loving the Kanye shoes that Kimmie Kakes is rocking. Not sure about their functionality but they look super cute. Interesting move by Taylor Swift . . . I think it's bold and shows she's forgiving.

I don't like cassie's face from that side angle...can see what she is going to look like at 40..anywho, kanye...job well done...you are keeping with the theme of My Dark Twisted Fantasy...I see...very moody..also someone made a comment about these skinny as pencil models...I agree with you, however, not everyone who is naturally thin, even if they look a certain way to you, is unhealthy. There are unhealthy models, but not all of them who are skinny are unhealthy. Also, the reason this is the norm is because you really are not supposed to be intersted in what the model looks like. The model is a piece of meat (that's why no models really stay in the business long..unless you are iconic...i.e. Ms. CAmpbell), they are not to be looked at they have weird features, etc. Their main and only job is to be a hanger for the clothes. The clothes are supposed to just lightly drape on them...not hug them or even show that much curve...I think people have gotten caught up in the past 20 years with the so called pretty model faces..but really that's a lot of makeup and illusion. If you look at Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima, and Chanel Imans poloroids when they first got in the business...you would be shocked at how awkward and funny looking they look...but...that is what modeling is about! It's not about the very cute All American girl...only a few slots for those type of girls..like Cindy Crawford...and even most in the industry felt she was too commercial, and but they hated the mole on her face...that is considered unattractive to a lot of folk, and it helped her modeling career...anyway..hope this helps in answering why they use these sick looking girls/women.

That is not reality.....they really look sick, there is nothing feminine or mature about the look of a model when they look so dried up, gumpy and malnourished..........in person I bet it looks scary. Its always fat ppl that get talked about but you can be to skinny also......they should have models of all sizes on the runway and not just on BET fashion shows.
