First Lady Michelle Obama indeed had the blues last night. But in the most regal way possible. As she and her Presidential hubby welcomed British Prime Minister David Cameron & his wife Samantha Cameron, Mrs. Obama made a statement in an off-the-shoulder Marchesa evening gown.

Decide if we love it inside...

Mrs. O, wearing the deepest shade of teal in a column silhouetted Marchesa gown draped off-the-shoulder, paired her understated glam look with a statement Tom Binns necklace.

She welcomed Mrs. Cameron, who wore Alessandra Rich and black pumps.

The cut of this dress doesn't

The cut of this dress doesn't flatter her particular build all that much and, a simpler necklace (i'm thinking a fancy choker type) would have accentuated her neck much better - this neck piece is just too busy for this look. That said she could have done a lot worse. That's life though,sometimes you hit, sometimes you miss and at all times you have to enjoy it for what it's worth. Hope she had a real good time though.

I adore FLOTUS, but this is one of my least favorite looks. The color looks great on her, but there's something about that bodice that's off. The dress looks bridesmaid-ish almost. Not a fan of those beads either. They are definitely giving me a Mardi Gras vibe. Not Mrs. O's best, but she still manages to be as regal and classy as ever. I love the way President Obama looks at her! I will definitely be doinmg my job to support his re-election, and I suggest you do the same, because that field of Republican candidates is downright scary! They are threatening to set women's rights back 50+ years!
