Oprah Wants George Zimmerman INTERVIEW + Nick Cannon REVEALS He And Mariah Will Re-Marry A FIFTH Time!

Oprah Winfrey is speaking out about the Trayvon Martin case revealing that she hopes to interview George Zimmerman.  Get the deets inside and find out what Nick Cannon said about renewing his vows to Mariah Carey.

"Extra's" AJ Calloway sat down exclusively with Oprah Winfrey in St. Louis recently where she spoke for the first time about the tragic killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, cancelling Rosie O'Donnell's show and the big secret behind her Bobbi Kristina Brown interview.

Speaking about Trayvon, she said, "It is a tragedy and it is a shame that we're sitting here 33 days later and there hasn't been an arrest, or questioning of what actually happened. It's a tragedy and it is a shame and we all know it."  She added, "Mr. Zimmerman... I would love to talk to him."

She also commented on the nation's outcry saying,

"I saw some people on Twitter saying nothing has changed, the same thing's going on. Lots has changed and you know why? Because black people, white people, brown, yellow people all over this country and all over the world are saying the same thing... it's a tragedy and it's a shame and justice needs to be served."

As for canceling "The Rosie Show" Oprah said, "I called [Rosie] and said 'We're not going to be able to go forward'... we both knew. She is a class act, one thousand percent."

Oprah also revealed deets about her highly rated Bobbi Kristina interview saying, "The reason I didn't [literally] sit down [with Bobbi Kristina] is because I was told that she didn't really want to sit down, so I just used that moment."

Tune in to "Extra" Thursday and Friday for the Oprah interview!

"It's gonna be big," says Nick Cannon, who revealed that he and Mariah Carey are making plans to renew their vows on April 30th....for the 5th time!  (Damn time flies! They've been married 4 years on April 30th!)

He told Life & Style magazine that this go round, their renewal will be even bigger as it's the first birthday of their twins, Monroe and Moroccan.

"So it's a family day.  We'll celebrate with them during the day and just the two of us at night."  He added, "We get married every year; it's our thing.  I just have to keep doing it to make sure it's real!"

They've had a rough 2012 so far.  So congrats to them!

Oprah is just an opportunist,

Oprah is just an opportunist, who no longer has a fan base. She bashed black men for 25 years. Turned her back on black women who still kiss her ass and praise her pussy and she don't give a shit about black women. She Started businesses for Dr. Oz, Susie Orman, Rachael Rae, Dr Phil, Rosie Odonell, The woman that owns Spanks, and made white businesses huge profits on all her favorite things shows and that weird looking white guy Motivator, who all happen to be filthy rich now. She has not helped one black person get that much exposure or get that rich. Normally when things go wrong you can lean on your fan base to keep you afloat until you come up with a new idea. But Oprah has no fan base now, especially after she helped Obama get elected and white folk got whatever they could out of her and now they want no part of anything she does. Too late Oprah to run to the black community, we see you for what you are.

"opportunist"? REALLY? So

"opportunist"? REALLY? So if Barbara Walters, Diane Sawyer, or Katie Couric wanted to interview Mr. Zimmerman that would be more acceptable? Actually I love the idea of Oprah interviewing him - she has natural talent, poise, and finesse to successfully cover the interview. As a matter of fact, I saw many people looking for an "opportunity" to appear on national television - marching, clowning, and disrespecting the parents of Trayvon Martin - so at least she is "willing" to bestow some dignity to this travesty. Instead of always criticizing/demeaning O-P-R-A-H; give this BLACK WOMAN a break - she worked her ass off to get where she is today; and has taught us many-many things about LIFE that so many of us still today take for granted - EDUCATION, CLASS, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, MENTAL HEALTH, FINANCIAL STABILITY, CULTURE AWARENESS, etc. ********************** And I'm truly happy for Nick & Mariah, just goes to show that BLACK LOVE does exist - and if they "chose" to get married 999 times - IT IS THEIR RIGHT and THEIR MONEY IS PAYING FOR IT!!!!!

Sad, but so true,I could'nt believe how she was so against rappers and the way she dissed Ludacris, then had the nerve to kiss Jay Z's ass and give him so much praise, she just gets interviews with whoever people are talking about for ratings, she sold out a long time ago.

You are too ignorant to understand. Why will she have garbage rappers on her show. Jay Z has shown that he's more than just a rapper, he's also a successful businessman, which is why she had him on his show. She said it before that what rappers talk about is not appealing to her.

Ludacris is also a successful business man,and many other rappers. But they are too real for her,you are ignorant and easy to understand.

Well said, I saw an ad on a black or white website with a new black show on her network. The name was. Mamba Tyler Perry themed name(not plugging name here). It looked like Oprah wants the blacks to tune in based on the name. I am not based on Everything you said was the truth. Those white folks thought White Oprah was going to endorse their white woman nominee, when she endorses Obama they turn off the TV.

But remember, Oprah at one

But remember, Oprah at one point had Tyra Banks, Iyanla Vanzant, and even a black psychologist on her show. It is not so much her fault if these individuals did not become as successful as the non-blacks she brought on her show. At the end of the day, the market we all contend for is largely Caucasian, and if the Caucasians refuse to buy into either what Tyra or Iyanla are selling it is not Oprah's fault. Just a quick reminder, the record has shown that the majority is quick to make stars of blacks when we either have a microphone or a ball of some sort.
Anonymous's picture

Thank you for reminding

Thank you for reminding people of the black folks she had on her show. I mean, past tapings show the amount of time and space Oprah gave to Iyanla to do her thing, while she sat in the audience. There was also a black female gynecologist (who used to be featured in Essence magazine) on the Oprah show for a while.

@ Furious styles I rarely use

@ Furious styles I rarely use this word, but you are an idiot. Oprah is a smart businesswoman, if she wasn't, she will not be the first black woman billionaire. The problem with many black people is the lack of wisdom, commonsense and knowledge on how to be successful which confirms why black people remain poor because of the poor mentality they have. We are too busy fighting each other. You have to be an opportunist and be strategic to be a businesswoman. Oprah has giving many people opportunities, she gave Iyanla, she blew it. She gave Dr Phil, Dr Oz, Rachel Ray, etc and these people are best at what they do, so it's not about black or white. It's about connecting to everybody around the world. Comparing BET to OWN, is like comparing garbage to class. Yes, BET is focused on African American audience, which has done nothing for the black community except add to the negative stereotypes and problems. OWN, is a new channel, that has a huge potential with programs that you can actually learn much from and anybody can watch. I can see how it will be boring to some because people will rather see drama/negativity on TV. With any new project, you build it, what Oprah is doing is called marketing and publicity. It's okay when white people do it but not Oprah? Black people hate on their own the most then expect these successful black people to turn around and help you when all you do all day is put them down. If I was in Oprah's shoes, I will rather surround myself with people who understand business, who are positive, who will help me succeed rather than deal with foolishness which is what many black people are known for. Black people need to reeducate themselves, enlighten yourselves outside of your ghetto mentality.
Getsmart's picture

@Getsmart Please do me a

@Getsmart Please do me a favor? Don't mischaracterize me. There is absolutely NOTHING "Ghetto" about me. Let's get that part straight. Now back to Oprah. Oprah has done very well and I'm respectful of most of her accomplishments. With that said she is not making smart moves with her network. I at no point said BET was good or better than Own. I was merely responding to another posters comments "about" BET. I was speaking about the differences in target markets. That BET was targeted to African Americans and that it has had YEARS to build a solid market. Oprah is general audience but that means that she has a wider net to cast with her programing and that may explain why he has had a very hard time establishing an audience. My criticisms of Oprah are of a professional nature. I think she is mistakenly trying to build an entire NETWORK around her interviews. I also stated that OWN is not OWNED 100% by Oprah. Own is a partnership between Oprah and the Discovery network. Discovery is not happy with Own and may pull out which will kill the network along with Oprah's name and reputation. Oprah is under extreme pressure to get ratings and she is going sensational with who she picks as guest. The Bobbi Kriss interview in my opinion was in extremely bad taste. And I also think Oprah looking to snag Zimmerman is about as TACKY and insensitive to the FAMILY as you can get. Oprah is not smart because her choices are finally reflecting on who Oprah really is as a business woman. Sorry exploitation by Oprah or any White Owner of a network is still EXPLOITATION. Oprah as a Black woman should know about the sensitive nature of this case but she does not care. ALL Oprah cares about is saving Oprah's behind for the percentage she has which is not that much in reality. Oprah is more worried about damage to her BRAND. Oprah could care less about Bobbi Kriss or Travon Martin. That is my issue with Oprah.
FuriouS StyleS's picture

Your comment has some level

Your comment has some level of truth, but as a journalist, I think Oprah is getting ahead of herself. This is an EXTREMELY sensitive case, so she should be cautious about what she says and who she looks to interview. Even the big networks get criticized when they conduct interviews that may be seen as opportunistic. Does it stop them from doing it, no. But they still get the backlash. So I'm not surprised that people are voicing their opinion about her approach to this case. Plus, Oprah is coming off a little desperate considering that it was just announced that her network will lose over $10 million this year and advertisers are pulling out. She's desperate at this point and it's kinda embarrassing to watch her put herself out there like this for a ratings boost. Truth be told, she's going to need more than a BIG interview with someone to boost her overall ratings.

Should be another ratings

I really want Oprah to

I really want Oprah to continue doing well, one black woman to another, but this is just too much. What is she, a journalist or a public prosecutor/ jury/ judge? There is a time and place for everything; a talk show is neither one of these, and at this point in time it isn't Oprah's station to be edging in on this. She really needs to just settle for a bit with this one.

Fuck an interview! George

Fuck an interview! George Zimmerman doesn't need to be interviewed by Oprah, he needs to be tried and convicted by a judge and jury. Why doesn't she interview Trayvonn's parents? If he was my child, a judge and jury is the last thing George Zimmerman would have to worry about. I'd go through each member of his family until I got to his fat ass, and he'd die a slow fucking death for taking the life of mine.

Interviewing George Zimmerman

Interviewing George Zimmerman would be controversial. Everyone has already interviewed the parents. Controversy yields ratings. She is concerned with ratings and nothing else. I keep telling people Oprah's true colors will start to show, but some are under her spell.

Oprah, really? Is that all

Oprah, really? Is that all she could say. Oprah clearly doesn't care about black ppl. If she did, she would have had an interview with the ppl who protested, as well as the affected family, friends, etc. She's black for gooodness sake and this is a racial issue, no matter how many times she may try to run away from the race issue in the US. She clearly doesn't want to upset white folks.

He needs to "have it" in

He needs to "have it" in prison, not on some interview. Oprah is not a judge and jury, he needs to be convicted and tried for murder. Trayvon and his family seek justice, not entertainment. Oprah is jumping in this 3-ring circus for money.

Can't, for the life of me

Can't, for the life of me understand why O's network is failing but BET has stood the test of time. The programming on BET has never been 'substantial'. How many of you have actually watched more than 1-2 of the shows on the OWN network? I can name five that are good TV. It's a new network, give it time.
Anonymous's picture

simply because BET was first

simply because BET was first launchend in a better time. It was something new, with a target audience and it developed greatly but starting a new network in times of youtube, twitter and co won't be easy- I'm not even surprised- all you have do is take a good looka at MTV- you can't even call it M-TV anymore it shoud be STV for all the shows they are running. The competition is huge and people tend to like scandalous shows for they need shockers- OWN TV might be a great Idea but out society has become stultified and it's getting worse... now Oprah is trying to get on board with that interview...- it's interesting how convinient death is to her show

@Anonymous 3:46 pm I can

@Anonymous 3:46 pm I can answer your question. BET had years to develop itself and it had a target audience. Oprah's network is general it's not like BET which is aimed at African Americans. And also, OWN is not OWNED by Oprah it's a partnership with the Discovery network and they are not getting a return on their investment so Oprah has a small window to turn a profit before they pull out and Own is HISTORY. This may explain the desperation. Oprah just has bad programing and they need to resolve that if they want viewers. And her interview series is the only draw and that is now failing.

Excellent summary. I would

Excellent summary. I would just add that they have not gotten a return on their investment and the network is bleeding cash. Oprah smartly has not put any cash in, as we know of, yet. Discovery may soon ask her to put some skin in the game. I think own dies because the programming is terrible. No one wants to watch oprah 24/7 and all these stars she's building shows around are has beens. The world has shifted and it's bigger than white Midwest moms. Oprah does not understand this, because she's completely out of touch.
