HE'S OUT! Lamar Odom Packs Up & LEAVES The Dallas Mavericks!

Well well well. Lamar Odom is officially DONE trying to make it work at his new NBA team home in Dallas. He's packed up his ish--and wife Khloe--and announced moments ago he has officially left the Mavericks!

With all the drama from getting blindsided with a trade from the Lakers to the Mavs, to getting demoted to the D-League for a little while for some practice, Lamar Odom seems to be officially done with it all.

Lamar said in a statement today:

"The Mavericks and I have mutually agreed that it's in the best interest of both parties for me to step away from the team.

"I'm sorry that things didn't work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs' organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship."

On this season of E's "Khloe & Lamar" reality show, we see Lamar's struggle being traded to Dallas and the negative effects it's having. So while his departure isn't necessarily shocking, walking away mid season (especially a great layer like Lamar) is a bit surprising.

ESPN reports:

Sources said Monday that Odom's departure will be immediate and that the Mavericks intend to simply list him as inactive for the rest of the season instead of outright releasing him, leaving open the possibility that they could still trade him after the season in conjunction with the draft. Any team that has Odom on its roster as of June 29 must buy him out by that date for $2.4 million or otherwise accept responsibility for the full $8.2 million that Odom is scheduled to earn in 2012-13.

Odom will not be at practice Monday, sources said, after he was given just four first-quarter minutes of playing time Saturday night in Memphis, accounting for the low point of a consistently rocky season in Dallas following his trade in December from the Los Angeles Lakers.

Other sources say he is using the remainder of the season to clear his head and get ready for next season.

Well at least he'll have more time to keep up with the Kardashians. He is all up in their new promo pic for the new season kicking off next month. Just sayin'...

He was traded to make room for Chris Paul and Dwight Howard (Gasol was also on the choppin' board) but they couldn't get Chris Paul because the Commissioner got invovled. Dwight Howard ended up resigning with Magics for another year. Odem was six man of the year. He's a remarkable player. He can definitely be a starter but he rather come off the bench. He's played a huge role with lakers winning their championship. And if you've ever watched their game you'd see he was the most consistent in their last series. So before you say a dude sucks actually watch ball and take in his game.

Like many others have stated, Lamar is still distressed over being traded by the Lakers and it has interfered with his game and obviously, his decision-making. That mean he played for the Lakers for probably over 15 yrs and he got traded as well to the Rockets but now he's with Oklahoma City Thunders. Lamar needs to get over it. It has been over a month

It has been over a month since the murder of our young brother, cousin, nephew, and son Trayvon Martin. The murderer of the slain has not been arrested as of today 4/9/12. I’m sure many of us are baffled as to why this case is being drawn out , when there are more than enough details and evidence to conclude that this was indeed a vicious hate crime. The first stop is WALMART. They were influential in the passing of this law among many other systematic ways to violate the melanin enriched people of the U.S.A.
