William Balfour, the ex-husband of Julia Hudson, the sister of Jennifer Hudson, has been found GUILTY of first degree murder.  Get the deets inside....

 

In Chicago, William Balfour has been found guilty of 1st degree murder in the death of  Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother, and 7-year-old nephew.  

The jury took two days of deliberation before handing down the verdict which also found William guilty of home invasion and residential burglary.  He now faces life in prison.     Witness say Jennifer was present in court when the verdict was read.

I know that Jennifer Hudson

I know that Jennifer Hudson and her sister Julia are relieved to have finally closed this painful chapter on their lives, but everyday in Chicago they send Black males up the creak for "The Long Ride" for crimes they didn't commit. I think this dude was the fall guy and convicted due to circumstantial evidence only! He is an uneducated thug who was a notorious bully, lousy husband and stepfather who was bad news who the family wanted to go away permanently because he didn't love/respect his wife at all and they knew he was only holding on to Julia Hudson, because his wife's sister was fast becoming a rising Hollywood Star and he didn't want to be left behind once her career took off and the family relocated. There was so much criminal activity going on in Jennifer Hudson's mother's house with drug dealing that normally would have raised reasonable doubt in any jury as to whether Balfour actually committed these horrible crimes. I don't blame anyone for this crime except the MURDERERS who killed this family however;There are countless raised in the church,sweet,God fearing women like Jennifer's mother was who ignore the criminal activities that are going on in their own homes and don't say a word turning a blinds eye and it's a shame. It's no secret that in order to sell drugs in the urban community you have to be connected through gang affiliation, have they're permission to sell and get money which they get a cut from, because they own the neighborhoods and I'm sure they all had been warned to STOP or ELSE! The fact is anyone could have killed those people, it could have easily been a Gang hit, a robbery gone bad from drug addicts(they did say the house was ransacked) or the abusive husband. Remember Julia Hudson hadn't separated from him yet so he still had access with free reign of the house,he was cheating with multiple Skanks plus he was partners in crime with the brother selling drugs out of the house so there was an invested interest for him there as well. I can't believe from a C.S.I standpoint that he could have murdered the entire family for that reason alone and left NO traces of physical evidence behind not bloody shoe prints, fingerprints,sweat,gun powder residue on his person et cetera..... and all over some flowers he thought another man had given his wife that he didn't love? Now I do believe he knows who did this, but he can't snitch so either way his life is over and he's better off in jail! It (the truth) will come out in about 20 yrs,cause that's how the cookie crumbles.

It baffles me how vile and cynical some folk can be that they would believe the absolute worst of anyone, without even knowing a person. You are NOT merely stating your "opinion(s)" - you are spreading propaganda and spewing misinformation - the kind that destroys lives! Jennifer had her mother, brother and nephew killed as a "blood sacrifice" for fame? William Balfour doesn't LOOK like someone who would kill? Please tell me how a murderer should look, because Ted Bundy was a church-going leader of the community with a wife and young children. Nobody - absolutely no one - could have imagined that he would ever commit such heinous acts against anyone. I wish the Hudson family peace that surpasses ALL understanding in the midst of this storm. May this family find the strength to heal as they begin to fit the pieces to the puzzle(s) of their lives back together again. And I pray that NO ONE has to endure what this family has been through and have folk sit back and judge and blame them - the victim(s)- of such tragedy!

He had the motive, the means

He had the motive, the means & the opportunity to commit these crimes. He could not find one person to account for where he was during these murders. Cell phone records but him in the area during the time of the murders. It was his own play sister, girlfriend & neighbor that said he asked them to be his alibi. Why do you have to ask someone to be your alibi if you were no where near the crime scene? So there was no one the defense could have got to testify where this person was at during this time? No one seen him from 9 -12 that day? Also, a boat load of people testified he had a gun in the weeks before that just so happen to look just like the murder weapon. It's possible but highly unlikely that its not the same gun. The entire neighborhood know he hated Jennifer's brother and he obviously had no problem in letting them know with all the threats he supposed to have made. DNA and/or fingerprints are more easy to believe; however, if you are a career criminal and have 3 hours of unaccounted time, you can cover up a lot of stuff. The only thing he forgot to discard was the car key to Jennifer's brother truck where the dead nephew was found. To be enemies, its hard to explain how he would have that key in his possession unless he went into their house and took it. For those that are saying it's a drug hit, why wouldn't they just kill everyone in the house? Why bother even bringing the nephew outside, forcing him in the truck & killing him there? Seems like this was personal. Jennifer had just to become famous so its wasn't like she even had long paper yet. She was just starting to come up. I hope the family can move on now and that the sister make better choices who she dates cause this person had a criminal record since 12 and she hooks up with him straight from jail on an attempt murder case.

This was an EXTREMELY Horrific Unfortunate situation! When I heard the news of their tragic deaths it sickened me! What was even more sickening was the LACK of emotion JHud showed/s when discussing that HORRIFIC event! Not to mention, on her vh1 interview she BLUNTLY stated she would NOT trade her success for ANYTHING! What I am saying is I agree that that fella DID NOT murder her 3 family members! It just appears they took the "Easy" route here and pinned it on someone! DAMN SHAME!

What a cruel thing to say. I have never seen her discuss the tragedy without crying, despite her best efforts not to. I even remember her saying that she doesn't talk about it because it makes her cry. Please think before you speak/write. Stop being so quick to judge and please stop with the conspiracy theories.

Come on mane! These killings were hits. There was no DNA, no weapon, no witnesses, no nothing to connect him other than circumstantial evidence like a stupid threat. Does he look THAT smart to pull off a gruesome murder of 3 people including a kidnapping. This was done by someone professional or whose done it many times before. Balfour is a street punk not a professional murderer. Jennifer and Julia know what happened for real.
