SNEAK PEEK At Meagan Good & Laz Alonso's "Infamous" + Bobbi Kris Will HONOR Whitney Houston At The 2012 Billboard Awards

Meagan Good and Laz Alonso promoted their new show "Infamous" at the NBC fronts this week, where there showed a little "monkey love." See the pics and a sneak peek inside, and find out what Bobbi Kris is doing at this year's Billboard Awards.

Last night, Laz Alonso and Meagan Good posed with actor Victor Garber as they celebrated their show "Infamous" being picked up by NBC at the network's upfronts party. Meagan will play the lead role (only the second lead role for an African American woman on network tv in 30 years, after Kerry Washington in "Scandal") whose character is "Joanna."

The show, which was previously titled "Notorious" but changed, surrounds a female detective (Meagan) returning undercover to the wealthy family she grew up in -- as the maid's daughter to solve the murder of the notorious heiress who was once her closest friend.

And during last night's party, both Meagan and Laz had a little monkey love going on.

Meagan tweeted, "Soo my tv show INFAMOUS got picked up..sooo I mingled with my other network family... People ... Actors ... I'm Smh"

Meanwhile, Laz tweeted, “King Kong dont got nothin on me! #nbcupfrontparty”

He's so cute....Laz that is.

In addition to her new reality show, Bobbi Kristina will be involved in a star-studded tribute to her mom, Whitney Houston, at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards this year. Deets about what role Bobbi Kris will play have not been released but I can say what I hope will NOT happen....

NBC hasn't had a black led

NBC hasn't had a black led show since Fresh Prince it feels like. The show with Boris Kodjoe, Undercovers was canceled after 11 episodes. NBC doesn't give its new shows a chance I loved the Playboy Club it was canceled after 3 episodes..catch my drift!!

You need to read it better

You need to read it better before getting heated. Its says the lead role. Joy bryant was not the lead role in Parenthood, Taraji is a significant part of the show but the other two guys are the lead roles. I dont know about 30 years but African American Women as leading roles in commercial TV shows are rare

I agree why are we comparing Scandal and Infamous? Plus to all the people who said Meagan Good is talented are just observing at her looks. She is nothing more than a pretty face. She is not a talented actress. She plays the same skank roles, half of her characters have no variety or depth. I'm happy she has a new show. Who knows maybe she might actually put her clothes on and give a great performance, but I doubt it. I also doubt it will get picked up for a second season. I'm not trying to be pessimistic just realistic.

Reality is, is that half of

Reality is, is that half of the popular female artists out (many who sell millions per album) don't have strong voices. For the past 15+ years the music industry hasn't been fully concerned with how strong a female artists voice is as much as her total package aka her looks. I'm sure Bobbi Kristina has some of the best vocal coaches working with her to strenghten her voice as well as push her voice. She has an opportunity to be in the spotlight and she should take it! Who am I or you to judge and dictate what Bobbi does with her life?

First of all the family had signed up to do the reality show prior to Whitney's death AND Mama Cissy approves and is going to be on it as well so I don't know why ppl are getting their panties in a bunch of THEIR family's business! Second -I'm proud of Megan. I wasn't feeling the 1st clip, but the 2nd clip had better acting. She is really trying to grow and I will definitely watch to support! But her and Laz better come correct cuz I'll stick with you for the 1st 3 episodes but if y'all don't have me by then I'm sorry I will have to be entertained by another channel. Third - I LOVE SCANDAL - that show is smart, sexy, fast-paced and leaves you wanting more. I'm so happy it got picked up for another season. Kerry Washington is bringing it and I pray that Megan's show is as successful as Scandal. Good luck with NBC tho because they will cancel something with a quickness if they are not getting the numbers they want.
