I don't believe it's true because I'm one of those people who don't believe things about celebrites unless they confirm it themselves, or there's UNDENIABLE proff. So I don't believe it. Just to expand on the previous comment, that's only what was said publicly. Rumors were also started because both were seen being in intimate situations with someone of the same sex. They weren't speaking on it publicly, but they were being seen in public so people started talking.

Let me break down where the gay rumors started. When Jada and Will got married they used to give interviews about their love. Saying stuff like divorce is not an option. Saying they won't accept cheating, because if their honest bout finding someone attractive enough to go there with they have the kind of relationship where they can discuss it. This led black folks to believe they have an open relationship. What Jada meant was they were so close that no topic is off the table. That they can talk about anything. That is what she meant by open relationship. Simple minded black folk too that to mean they are swingers. No where Will and Jada relationship did the ever say they were swingers. Even if they were swingers, being a swinger doesn't mean you have sex with men. Once a rumor gets hold in the black community it passes along like truth and dumb people rush to defend it. Just like Illuminati and Jay-Z and The Incredible Hulk being dead when I was a kid things take a life of their own in the black community. Again, Will and Jada never said they had an open relationship where they bring people sexually into their bed, but that is where the rumor started. Now whether Will is gay or not? I don't know, I wouldn't put it past anybody, but that is where the rumors started.

why Lord, Why. Why do my ppl always have to be the first to accept gossip, rumors, negative comments, insults to one another, and degrading remarks about ourselves and each other. Who planted this seed? because it has been nurtured and has manifested itself as pure self hate toward each other. White ppl don't have to attack us, we automatically attack ourselves. We never stand up for one another. Never applaud one another. Never support one another. We will take our money to white stores, before we take it to black owned. We will believe negative rumors before we cry loud that lies cease against one of our own. We will be the first to shake our heads at a simple photo with not one hint of gay tendacy instead of congratulating the man on being married to the same woman for over 10 years, raising his kids, staying out of trouble during majority of his career, making millions, and being one of the "few" african american males in hollywood representing us very well in how he dresses, talks, acts, and walks. I mean really people. The only thing we as african american people should be doing is applauding this man. Some of you have spent years blasting this man for being gay and never even taking the time to be proud of how he has represented our community in the public. He's not walking around with his pants under his butt, sleeping around with different women, cursing and talking ghetto, having alcohol and drug problems, embarrasing us on television. It take extreme work to stay on "the good side" of the fence for so many years. But all people see is what they percieve and want to see to back up their own suspicions. Darn shame. Sometimes I know he says, " why do I try to represent black people well, when white people treat me better than my own people do". Why are we like that. Stop it ! Enough already. white people don't have to put us down. We work extremely hard to do it for them. All they have to do is sit back and watch us tear each other apart. And then wander why we have it so hard trying to be successful. Like wake up people. For real. It's just too much sometimes dealing with our own people. I hate to say that but it truly is. We are always so negative.

I'm curious to know where the rumours came from?. What gave people the impression that Will Smith is gay. Did someone from his inner circle say it? Did his former gay lover come forward? Or people just assuming that he's gay because he's never shown interest in other women but his wife and that he has a male best friend?
