YBF KIDS: Snoop Dogg's Son Cordell Broadus OFFERED Football Scholarship To UCLA...And He's ONLY 15!

The second eldest son of rap icon Snoop Dogg, Cordell Broadus (shown above in a USC sweatshirt), has been offered a football scholarship to UCLA!  If he accepts, he could join Diddy's son, Justin Combs, on the team.  Deets inside.....

UCLA's Football program seems to be taking a keen interest in the talented offspring of celebrities. Snoop Dogg's son, Cordell Broadus, has become the latest celeb kids to get a scholarship offer.  We told you earlier that Diddy's son, Justin Combs, has already accepted his offer and will be suiting up next season.

Despite being a 15-year-old rising sophomore at Diamond Bar High School, UCLA coach Jim Mora Jr. recently offered the scholarship to Cordell because of his skills on the field.  At 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, sports experts think his body could develop into that of a Division I prospect.

Though no one doubts Cordell's skills, Jim Mora Jr.'s offer could be considered a PR move since Snoop Dogg tends to favor USC and their football program.

Cordell's current coach, Diamond Bar's Ryan Maine, said, "We're expecting him to really lead us the next three years.  Hopefully [our athletes] get bigger, stronger and keep leading this team."

Cordell recently spoke about his move to Diamond Bar from Long Beach (Calif.) Polytechnic High saying, "The move was difficult when it first happened, meeting new friends and a new team.  It's been good ever since. The competition level at Long Beach Poly is a whole lot different than it is down here, but I've learned that it's all on me and how hard I work."

Would it be a smart move for Cordell to lock in this scholarship now for 2015...or await more offers?  Either way, congrats to him on nabbing an offer after only 1 year of high school play!

Congrats to anyone that can

Congrats to anyone that can get a scholarship or even a partial one. I must admit two of my children are products of College scholarships one for athletics and one for academics. I for one will never forget how hard I worked my ass off to keep them focused on academics first and foremost, and the amount of time spent away from having fun and instead on supporting her when it came to basketball. I am not wealthy by far and by no means am I a Celebrity. I do believe that there are many deserving people out there who are in desperate need financially of a scholarship also. I do find something wrong with accepting one if you can afford it because as we all know, scholarships are in exchange for the tuition, so if money is no object and you have plenty to go around, and are worth millions, go ahead and accept it for the publicity and the bragging rights to keep you relevant with your status, but while accepting it, give out another one to a Charity as you may call it for someone less fortunate and then write it off. I for one know the feelings when only one scholarship is awarded and there are 15 plus children standing there in desperate need of one, in hopes that their name will be called, but it's not. Very sad occasion on one end, but happy when that chosen one is for your own. Maybe it's a publicity stunt and maybe it's not, but then too maybe both families have already donated large sums of money to the school. That's something we all may never know, but when you have Celebrity status, your publicist have direct connects to Scouters, who will drop everything if you are an A lister to come and watch your child only. Money talks. Let's just all hope that there are still fortunate people in this world who have the financial means and appreciate the fans for keeping their status on such a level that they will not forget to give back. After all that will be the moral thing to do. Some lives are already paved.

Umm if Justin will start

Umm if Justin will start college in the fall and Cordell is a rising high school sophmore, thegly won't actually be playing together until Justin is a senior and thats if Cordell go to UCLA, which i doubt he will. I think UCLA just wants to profit for having high profile celebrity children go to their school and think people will jump at the chance to see their parents at the games but if yoj are in LA you can pretty much go anywhere to see a celeb lol.

I swear some people are just

I swear some people are just never fking satisfied. "Theyshould give more scholarships for deserving blacks" I think this is a set up", Setting them up for what? To be successful and to continue building the family legacy for years to come YES...SMDH... These boys EARNED these scholarships...UCLA is a very prominent school and anyone that knows anything about sports, especially college sports, it's about WINNING..nothing else. They wouldn't just give out scholarships just for the hell of it..

Truth is.....State

Truth is.....State Universities are Cash Poor these days due to Economy....So, people like Puffy Diddy Combs & Snoopy Dog Dizzle Fizzle <-------- Donate LARGE SUMS of CASH to the College.....in return, the School gives their kids a "Merit Scholarship".

WRONG! UCLA and USC are very rich. Last year alone UCLA private donations totaled $489 million. They are not strapped for cash AT ALL.

Duh !!!!! Thanks for PROVING

Duh !!!!! Thanks for PROVING MY POINT <------ these particular Schools take CASH from Diddy Puffy Daddy & Fo Shizzle Snoop Doggie Dog.......... so THEY are not poor. Thus, their kids get Bogus Scholarships. Basically, the best school willing to give their kids scholarships (in exchange for a large "Donation) will get the $$$$$$ (it's a dirty game.).....

Girl BYE! UCLA is not

Girl BYE! UCLA is not depending on Puffy and Snoop fund...they don't have the kind of money that the alumnis have, TRUST. If that were the case they would be giving scholarships to all the other celeb kids that live in LA.

Sounds like PR and Politics to me Hell, my son is already smart, and has completed at least 3 high school classes in the 8th grade. He's a rising 9th grader, can he get his UCLA academic scholarship now, or what? I'm just saying....

So now we are compliaing

So now we are compliaing about black kids getting scholarships to UCLA now? I bet if he followed his father and wanted to be the stereotypical rapper, we still would not be happy. People have been using their influence to get their kids in good schools for years, this won't change. Let's be happy for one more black man getting a great education and let's stop with this jealously nonsense. Who knows hopefully maybe this kid will be able to contribute to our society with his education. Congrats to him!

I'm glad Snoop's son

I'm glad Snoop's son obviously is doing well and is on the road to success; but at 15 he needs to focus on his education for a few more years. His athletic prowess will only improve with age & maturity; and God forbid he gets hurt before he has a chance to go pro. Congrats to him but stay in school...

He seems small but good for him. I think a lot of Celebrities tend to get in at UCLA. They rarely play or graduate. But Maybe he'll be different. Justin Combs is also very small. But we'll see won't we. I'm glad both kids are interested in school. But I'm wondering how a 15 year old can get into UCLA unless he's very bright?
