Kanye West RE-SIGNS With CAA Agent Cara Lewis + Brandy GETS NEW Album Release Date & PERFORMS In Washington, DC

Kanye West has dropped Kardashian pal Irving Azoff as his manager and it now working with CAA's Cara Lewis. Get the deets inside and see Brandy perform in the nation's capitol and get her new release date.

We told you earlier that Kanye West had been "advised" on his career by Irving Azoff (at Kris Jenner's suggestion) but that relationship has soured. As industry folks say the two butted-heads constantly, he has moved onto CAA's Cara Lewis, whom he also worked with when she was at William Morris Agency.

Cara said, “Kanye is a true innovator and visionary. Our relationship spans nearly a decade, and I am honored to be working with him again.”

In other music news.....

Brandy hit the stage in Washington, DC recently for a free concert presented by 93.9 WKYS at Howard Theatre. She performed the Sean Garrett-produced song "Put It Down" for which she just shot a video with Hype Williams.

Also, she's pushed the released date of Two Eleven to October 2.

Brandy was AMAZING. So happy

Brandy was AMAZING. So happy to see her finally promoting Put It Down. And her label pushed the album back to give more time for her single(s) to grow. I doubt it has ANYTHING to do with the quality. With the exception of Human, Brandy has NEVER put out anything less than EXCELLENCE. And even Human is better than most of the albums released today. This girl is plotting a comeback, like it or not.

I have such high hopes from

I have such high hopes from Brandy. considering I am from the "I wanna be down" "Brokenhearted" "Baby" and "Sittin up in my room" era... This song is a major downgrade... I know she is trying to appeal to a younger audience and this is the garbage they are used to, but Brandy, don't dumb yourself down! Ur SO much better than this! Her "Never Say Never" album had more mature content than this song.

How does an album constantly

How does an album constantly get pushed back? SMH. Someone obviously is inept in her camp. Her single will fizzle by October. You never see this kind of foolery with A-list musicians. Imagine Adele or Beyonce constantly pushing an album back. They set a date and it HAPPENS!

Well she is doing just like CB did , pushing back her albums and dropping it when there are not that many albums debuting in the same week. This increases their chances of having an album debuting at #1 . However, debuting at # 1 and having poor first week sales is kind of an oxymoron . I bet she will be the only major act debuting that week. Chris did it, he push back his album like three times. This industry is all smoke and mirrors I swear.

An album gets pushed back b/c no one believes there's a "hit song" on it. The artist is told to somehow come up with a hit song before they'll release the album

I am not buying Brandy's Album, THIS IS THE THIRD TIME they pushed it back! THIRD TIME! First it was originally supposed to come out in April, Then July, Then August and NOW October? Bye Girl Nobody gonna be checking for her by that time Put it down will be old and boring, Im already thru with it all belongs to me. Im just through bring me the OLD Brandy Back I can Listen to Brandy and Never Say Never over and over again.. Hell I may even listen to Full Moon and Aphrodisiac every now and again.

This is the 1st time it's been pushed back. They only released one official release date before, and that was August 28th. And of course they're gonna release another single before Oct 2. Y'all can't possibly think they are going to milk Put It Down for another two months lol
