Sista, if you talking about the Geechi, and the Gullah people that's a damn lie. Now they still have the west African /English dialect , but alot of them do have this crakkkas blood in them as well. I remember this ole light mixed looking creole sista "sexy too" told me she was Geechi lol and was telling me about west africa and shit like that. But you what i find funny is that alot of light skinned people have MORE PRIDE in being of AFRICAN DESCENT and know more about Black history THEN THESE DARK TO BROWN FEMALES. It's a damn shame.

LOL!! I Hate to say it but i bet you are right! I think some black women don't even realize they have self hate issues! I have a cousin that does and all she says is so in so is so light or so so skin is so pretty (referring to a light skinned person), or your daughter is sooo cute referring to my light one, I try to instill in both of daughters the beauty of their skin tone! even though they are young. I have one Dark skinned child and one light skin child, my husband is dark as night and HE IS BEAUTIFUL ! i'm light brown but not high yellow, but my father is colombian, panamanian and jamaican and my mother is all black, my sisters and brother are all different shades from high yellow to dark brown! and my Grandmother whom I love Dearly is a dark skinned VERY BEAUTIFUL woman and her pictures when she was younger she was just Beautiful. Its sad that so much emphasis is on skin tone , black people come in ALL SHADES and if you have a child whether or not both parents are dark or not its know telling what shade of black they will be!!! ITs so important to be comfortable in your own skin and love yourself and realize GOD did not make a mistake when he gave you your skin tone!! I personally LOVE VERY DARK MEN!! and dark skin in general it looks pretty and very smooth to me... ijs !
