If you saw actress Lark Voorhies' May interview with Yahoo! where she seemed out of sorts, to say the least, her mother may have an explanation.  Details inside on Lark's alleged bi-polar disease...

"Saved By The Bell" actress Lark Voorhies has stayed mostly out of the limelight. But when we do rarely see her, she appears to have inconsistent looks that make people wonder if something is going on.  From her extra powdery bleach-like makeup to her spotty interviews, folks have been looking for an explanation.

PEOPLE magazine reports that they spoke with Lark's 64-year-old mother, Tricia, who claims that Lark has been diagnosed with having bipolar disease.  Tricia told the mag:

"There are things that have traumatized her. I care deeply about my daughter and I want her to resume her life."

PEOPLE recently did a series of interviews with the actress, and they report that she was spacey and talking to imaginary people:

In a series of interviews with PEOPLE, it was clear something wasn't right. Voorhies, 38, would frequently stop mid-sentence and stare off, often mumbling to herself or to others who weren't there.

Interestingly, Lark denies that she is suffering from anything.  She simply spends her time self publishing books and minding her business.  And accuses her mother, who she lives with, of simply "over-loving" her.  Lark said about her strange PEOPLE interviews:

"I have a strong spiritual sense," she says. "You caught me in moments of pray [sic]."

Well, we hope she gets the help she needs, if the diagnosis is true.
