Azealia Banks BLASTS Dolce & Gabanna For "Racist" Designs + IT'S A BOY For Amber & Wiz!

Azealia Banks is pissed at Dolce and Gabanna.  And she's letting the world know she's boycotting the design house, all because of their latest designs that she deemed to be racist.

Check out why folks think D&G is racist for their most recent line of clothing, plus Amber Rose reveals the sex of her baby....

While in Brazil performing, Azealia told everyone what she thought about the Dolce & Gabanna collection she had just seen at Milan Fashion Week. And she clearly didn't like what she saw.  Much of the clothing had African imagery that is deemed by many as racist, and models wore burlap sacks and plantation-era cornucopias on their heads.  She tweeted this weekend:

"Definitely boycotting Dolce & Gabanna....Whoever designed that racist ass Dolce and Gabanna collection needs a swift kick in the mouth and a big dick up the ass.

I really hate when people do corny, racist things then try to justify it as "art." ... It's all just really unnecessary. the clothes in the collection were fine without all the "black mammie" imagery."

The Italian design house explained that the designs were a nod to their African-Sicilian roots and the first African settlers in Sicily.  But Ms. Banks wasn't impressed.

It seems she's found a new designer love.  She tweeted about popping her Gucci cherry yesterday:

Purchased my first Gucci Item today. so weird, i have stuff from all the other houses but finally made a gucci purchase. the shoes r boss!

In other news, Amber Rose revealed she and Wiz Khalifa are having a boy.  Yep...they've got a mini Wizbud is on the way.  And she broke the news by tweeting a pic of a friend's gift on her birthday yesterday:

My friend Maria bought our Lil Boy this Slash onesie..... Oops did I say Lil Boy??? ;-)

Well isn't that special.  Plus, Wiz told his fiancee:

Happy birthday to the most beautiful woman in the world, the woman of my dreams, wife to be and mother of my child @DaRealAmberRose

Good luck you too.  We hope not to see daddy/son smokeout pics like Snoop & Corde ANY time soon....

Lol, I know right! Talkin

Lol, I know right! Talkin bout D&G when she got a "MASSA COLLAR" around her neck and a MATTEL BARBIE DOLL WIG on her head!

Ditto... She must think that

Ditto... She must think that slaves came over willingly... No girl, they had on a collar similar to the one you're wearing, except it was probably less fashionable (not saying that the one you're wearing is fashionable) and very uncomfortable and they were chained together in a small ass space of a ship... Plus, you have on that foolery of a wig and have the nerve to call yourself an artist... SIT! I can't stand this complaining ass bitch!

OK, Azealia...And while you're at it, let's boycott this interesting "statement piece" on your damn neck! Oh wait, that's FASHION, right?? I am not in any way approving of D&G's latest concept, but Honey you are looking like a hypocrite right about now, perpetuating the same ignorant stereotypes you speak out against. BYE, BABY!

What's so racist about the

What's so racist about the D&G clothing design???? Dark skinned women are so self hating, when they see a design with a darker toned woman on it, they think it's a "mammy" or somehow a diss to black people lol. WTF????
LetsGetIt's picture

Lord, not you again. They

Lord, not you again. They didn't mention a DAMN thing about skin color in this article. Azalia didn't mention a damn thing about skin color in this article. There weren't even any black models in the damn fashion show! She is upset because D&G bastardized African imagery to sell clothes. Stop trying to make this a dark-skinned, light-skinned issue. It's a BLACK issue, period.

Sista if i read this

Sista if i read this correctly, i could;ve sworn that Azalia stated that "the clothes in the collection were fine without all the "black mammie" imagery." What makessss the designnnnnnnn look mammyishhhhhh????? NOW SISTA IF YOU JUST WANT TO ARGUE THEN SAY SO!!!Because the african woman i saw on the clothing did'nt look like a mammy at all, it was just a dark skinned thick african sistaaaaaaa. BUT A DARK SELF HATING BLACK AMERICAN WOMAN see darkness as ugly and "Mammyish" so they called the design "racist"

Ok boo boo, black history

Ok boo boo, black history lesson 101. There is a history in this county of white people using blackface art in minstrel shows to insult and degrade black people. Those images portray dark skin black people as monkeys and gorillas by over-emphasizing black features like large noses and thick lips. They used names like "darky" and "coon" to describe black people in those shows. not if you don't have a problem being called that, that's on you. But I have a problem with it. D&G not only used blackface imagery on clothes. They even had blackface earrings and clothes made out of potato sacks (which is a throwback to cotton bags that slaves used). If this kind of art wasn't racist, it would not have been an issue during the Civil Rights Movement. LEARN your history my brotha or white people will continue to oppress you while you sit back and say nothing!

Monkeys don't have kinky

Monkeys don't have kinky hair, thick lips, and a big nose. Come on now sista.... Just because a image have thicks lips and dark skin, that mean's it's "animals like" or "ugly and demeaning"???? Goddamnnnnnnn you black womennnnn areeeeeee self hatinggggg goddamn. I didn't see black face or menstral any damn thinggggggg. It was a african dark skinned BEAUTIFUL woman on a design!!!! But in your mind, dark skin, thick nose, and lips are ugly, and reminds you of a monkey so you think it's racist. I GET IT SISTA. If it was some light skinned , wavey haired , mixed looking woman on it YOUUUUUUUU WOULD HAVEEEEE NOOOOOO PROBLEMMMMM, BUT SINCE THE IMAGE IS DARK SKINNED WITH ETHNIC FEATURES IT'S A PROBLEMMMMM????GETTTT OUTTTT MY FACE BLACK WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNOW MY HISTORYYYY!! you just see dark skinned as "savage and ugly like"
LetsGetIt's picture

DARK SKIN, FULL LIPS, WIDE NOSES, and THICK BODIES are indeed BEAUTIFUL AFRICAN FEATURES, but what D&G did was turn it into something UGLY! For starters, the PALE A$$ models they used looked ridiculous with HUGE "Blackamoor Statue" EARRINGS & BURLAP NAPSACKS on! D&G were GLORIFYING the SLAVE TRADE and the AFRICAN SETTLERS, CAPTURED and SHIPPED to ITALY. So are the people they are depicting (AFRICAN) ugly? HELL NO! But are they depicting them in an UGLY way....ABSOLUTELY!!

Do you know who the moors

And as for Amber, why is she

And as for Amber, why is she so pressed for people to care about this baby? She wants this child to be at Blu Ivy status and it's just not happening. Look boo boo, you are not famous so stop trying to tease us with the sex of the baby and revealing the pregnancy on an awards show. WE...DO...NOT...CARE!

I saw the collection too and

I saw the collection too and I actually agree with her. Put some damn black models in the show if you want to nod to African ancestry. Straight-up foolishness!
DesignDiva's picture

This is the best I've EVER

This is the best I've EVER seen Azealia look; more feminine and fun versus bully/wild-cat-like. And I agree with her stance on D & G. Some folks think that any representation of black history is good and should be celebrated, like they're doing us a favor. Not.

This CHICK is too ugly and

This CHICK is too ugly and irrelevant to be SO DAMN ANGRY.... #HoeSitDown

(NeNe voice) "WIGGGGG!"

(NeNe voice) "WIGGGGG!" AZEALIA is such a DIRTY LOOKIN HARLEM SUBWAY RAT, but I agree, D&G tried it with their MAMMY COLLECTION last month! The collection was FAR from "ART" or "FASHION" & NOO BLACK models walked in the show!

She is finally barking about

She is finally barking about something worthy. I agree that she should boycott that fashion house if she feels that they have negative racial tones in their designs. Most of the time, this child is just blowing hot air but this time, she's legit.
