New rumors are in the mix that Kimora Lee Simmons Hounsou and Djimon Hounsou are indeed heading for a split.  But....Kimora supposedly didn't know it was coming.

After rumors hit the net this summer that Djimon & Kimora were heading for a split, both of them denied it via public statements and internet postings.

But today, with a report saying Djimon is prepping to split from Kimora for good, both sides are remaining mum for now.  Hollyscoop reports Djimon, who has little Kenzo with Kimora and who is stepdad to Aoki & Ming Lee, planned on filing for separation...without Kimora even knowing.

"They've been done for months," a source tells Hollyscoop, "he's planning on going public with the news this week."

As of now, it’s unsure what the marital status of these two is. They were married in West Africa in summer of 2008 because Kimora’s divorce from Russell Simmons wasn’t finalized yet and they reportedly never got a marriage license in the U.S.

But an overseas marriage is still recognized as legit even if you don’t reside in the country where you actually got hitched.

Messy.

No word on what the split is due to exactly, but this will be the second divorce for KiKi.  She seems just fine today, though, tweeting her excitement for her new JustFab.com shoot she's doing today.
