Rihanna turns 25-years-old today.  Celebrate with BadGirlRiRi inside and find out about her latest venture with MAC....

International superstar Rihanna celebrates a quarter of a century today, ringing in year number 25.  Since entering the spotlight, Rihanna has had her share of ups and downs and we've been with her each and every step of the way.  

Now, she's just debuted her River Island fashion line and she branching out into cosmetics with a new partnership with MAC.  

While speaking with WWD about the new line, the singer revealed that the press may violate her privacy (apparently there's other private moments she doesn't blast herself on her social media networks)...but they can't invade her creativity.  And a part of her decision to link with the company was that they've allowed her to expand on her own creative side.

“Being creative is something that I love, so I can put that into different outlets. Music happens to be the first thing that I gravitated to, and now music opens doors to just so many different opportunities, and they all tie in. My makeup looks, my fashion looks…they help me to express myself as an artist. I think it helps people to understand me or my mood, my story.”

She adds, 

"When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind — for something legit — is MAC. Whatever color you want, it’s like ‘Let’s go to MAC.’ I’ve been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always said that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand.”

And about her own collection...

"There’s so much to choose from, and you can mix different textures with different colors and different greens in different eye shadows. I learned so much about the detail of makeup and what makes things look different. What makes it apply different is really important. Every little detail is important.”

The four collections will be known as RiRi [Hearts] MAC and will break throughout 2013.  According to WWD, the signature piece of the lineup, RiRi Woo (a lipstick), will be sold with all four collections. The summer collection also includes two additional lipsticks, a Lustre Drops shade and a powder blush duo. 

And fans rolling out to see her on stage for her Diamonds tour will be able to pick up RiRi Woo at her concerts (it will also be available online). And for the rest of the year, fans can look forward to a summer collection (online), a third collection that will hit retail stores and an on-counter holiday collection.
