Terrence Howard Says Black Media ATTACKED Him For Marrying An ASIAN Woman, Hints At HIATUS From Acting

Terrence Howard hinting at taking a break from acting and vented his frustration over the backlash he received for marrying an Asian woman during his Dead Man Down promos. Watch the interview inside..........

While doing the promo rounds for his latest flick, "Dead Man Down" (which opened at the box office this weekend with a disappointing $1.8 Million) Terrence Howard hinted at an "acting" break and blasted how he was ridiculed for marrying outside his race.

He spoke about taking a break from movie/tv roles for a while because "I feel maybe I've done enough, I've played enough in these field. And I would like to see what other mediums that I can aspire towards."

And when it came to talks of his bitter divorce, Terrence felt like he came out on the receiving end of a lot of hatred because he married outside of his race.

"We have a crab mentality where we try to pull each other down because of choices we've made. Because I chose to marry an Asian woman instead of a Black woman. I think as Black people we have to start helping each other and congratulating each other for being morally strong. And doing the right thing by that. If you dont have something nice to say, then don't say anything at all."

Somethng tells me that's not why he received hate.

I am so happy with the commentary in this post. Understand black women, your dollar is so powerful that this house negro felt the need to address us personally. Remain vigilant, do not support those that don't support and celebrate you. TH and others like him should be no exception. Yes, to the naked eye TH looks like us but he is not one of us. Our money should be reinvested amongst other like minded individuals focused on empowering and enriching our communities. This includes not supporting businesses and our own men who only seek to take and never give back. Gone are those days. Also TH since you apparently frequent black blogs, no one tripped about you marrying out, its well known that u dont like us. We work smart for our money, investing our hard earned money in your projects is not fruitful to our communities, so no more to you and others like you.

Terrance has inferiority issues and is delusional. Now that his career is stalling what is it the first thing these type of black men do? Find a way to blame black women. Terrance Howard is the worst

Terrance Howard is the worst type of negro. Quick to turn his back on African Americans yet, quick to yell racial discrimination against Whites and others. He throws the race card when convenient yet, is quick to repudiate his race. In Plymouth Meeting, PA. where we are from, he was notorious for treating his first wife (a Jewish woman) horribly. As a woman of color, I find it funny that I empathize with the Jewish and Asian woman more than I do him. Terrance is a self-loathing, verbally abusive piece of trash and, I wouldn't wish him on any woman of ANY COLOR.

Terrence 'Baby Wipes" Howard is in MAJOR denial. You would be hard pressed to find ANYONE in Hollywood or anywhere else who has anything positive to say about him. He's probably the most hated BLACK actor in Hollywood. His reputation on black film sets is legendary. When he's on black film sets, especially 'The Best Man', he treated the other cast members like shit. Thought he was doing THEM a favor by appearing in a film with them, even coming to blows with a cast member. When he's on white film sets, he always kiss ass. Back in 2008, Terrence had a full blown meltdown after it was announced Obama had won. He made very derogatory racists comments to his white guests when referring to Obama. Some of them were embarrassed by his behavior. Terrence Howard craves white acceptance. He's wrong, the hatred precedes his marriage. Out of all the black actors in Hollywood, he has the worse reputation.

Personally, I was a little

Personally, I was a little taken aback when I saw that Terrance was married to a Asian woman (he was previously married to a white woman). Not that I'm against interracial dating/marriage because I am 100% FOR IT! I believe that love is colorblind and people shouldn't be scared to go outside of their race to find true love. But, where my disappointment comes with Terrance Howard is the fact that you NEVER see him with a black woman. I believe that his perception of beauty is like a lot of black men long "good" hair, light skin, and European features is what they believe makes a woman beautiful. Do I think Terrance is attracted to black women? Yes, he almost BURST on that stage when Beyonce was performing "cater to you" at the BET Awards. Are we good enough for a romp in the sheets? Yes. But, are we good enough to marry/date? No, we are not. That's my problem with Terrance and a lot of men. Sexually we are attractive but we are not good enough to be called their wives. That's how it was back in slavery days when the white man loved to have his way with black woman, impregnated her, and left her with the child while he walked around proudly with his white wife, that does nothing for him sexually, as if they just won a prize. Terrance is worst than a white man because he is a black man degrading us like the white man did. God forbid he has a brown skin child with kinky hair... that would be a curse to mankind. He wants his kids to carry the gene of his light brown eyes and fair skin. It's one thing to have a "preference" but to totally annihilate your own race of women when it comes to elevating them to the stature of a wife is what gives me pause about him. Google him, look at his track record you'll see what I'm talking about. I guess his preference in women hasn't gotten no further than a number of divorces and bad press. They will never learn.

Sunshine, many of these couples involved in IR relationships aren't in love. They are in lust. We mustn't forget that many, especially black men, have severe psychological issues stemming from low self esteem. Black men have been demonized since day one. White women (and other women of color, minus black women) have been told they are desirable. Black boys grow up seeing images of white women. Black boys watch countless music videos where the artist is strapped to a white, Latin, Asian, or biracial woman. They are bombarded in commercials with white women with long flowing hair. It's no wonder they find them desirable. They grow up hearing about who wonderful white females are. That has been ingrained in their black minds all their lives. Unfortunately, many times mama or daddy isn't instilling the beauty of the black race, so they grow up thinking that "other" women are better than black women. It isn't always about love. If they TRULY love one another, more power to them. I do not support IR relationships because I think we, as a black race, are already fractured. It's intentional, that's why the media, if you've noticed, is depicting black/other relationships more so than ever. Terrance just represents the sickness of many of our people who need to justify their thirst for anyone who looks different than the one staring back at them in the mirror. These men are the weakest link. I, personally, would not want them.

I agree with you. I believe that the majority of black man/white woman relationships they are not in love they are in lust. If you look at the statistics the overwhelming majority of BM/WW relationships end in divorce. A Black Woman/White Man relationship has a higher rate of staying together than any other couples interracial or not. The problem isn't the black woman that "cant keep a man". Sometimes, the white man can see the beauty in a black woman more than a black man can. Despite all of this back and forth, the reason why I support interracial dating is because there is too much HATE and Ugliness in this world to deny two people of loving each other because of their skin color. I support love between two people NOT lust. I feel like LUST is what Terrance Howard interracial relationships represent.

Hi Sunshine, We are right >>>here<<<. Let me say this, if it's love, cool. As we've touched on, there is a lot of hate permeating our country, but what I think many of us, as black people, fail to remember, is that self-hatred is running amok. Back in the day, black men and black women were denied unity, and today, it appears there is a segment of black men who publicly demean us. When I see black, strong, united couples headed by good, strong black men, it does my heart good. The media is trying, and they are employing some weak-minded, boot-licking black men to encourage young black boys to not date black women. There's a sickness going around that is trying to keep black men and women from being together. Males like TH are encouraging this separation and it's sad, tragic, and pitiful. That's why I love black love because of what it represents to us as a people. While we are trying to unify with other races, we've forgotten that we, as black people, are fractured. Thank you for your comments. As a black community and especially black women we must stick together and be positive influences for the beautiful baby girls coming up in the next generation. WE have to be that positive example. Learning how to love themselves will have to start at home. WE have to let them know how beautiful and valuable they are. If the men are not gonna tell them, WE have to. Let the self hating stop with this generation and lets bring up a new generation of girls/boys that love/value themselves despite what others think of them. Sunshine, you are entitled to not agree with the IR part, but it's true. Man men of color (not just black men) have been trained to seek white women. Many black men, the ones who will admit it, say they date white girls because they are easy, won't give them any backtalk, will give them money, and the biggest thing of all: They give good head. The white man has trained them like the little puppets they are. That's the reality. I'm not saying all of them feel that way, but a vast majority of them do. Doesn't it strike you as strange that black men always have to go public with their disdain for black woman, but always uplift others? They never address their issues, but always, like poster, LetsGetit, have something negative to say under the guise of "helping black women." They can't even help themselves! Why do you think that is? Black women who date outside their race tend to not publicly demean black men, but leave it to some black men. TH is a prime example of that. You have hit on something that is very telling. It is true that Black men that date exclusively outside of their race, tend to bash or hate black women (not all, but many), but black women that date outside of their race tend to not do that. I've seen this disparity many times and can't really understand why this is. But I am in agreement with you that this is very unique disparity that gives insight into black men that date interracially.

You must have seen my old comment before I deleted and corrected it. I thought you would have misinterpreted it, that's why I deleted it. You are completely right with everything you said when you responded to my initial post. The only part I didn't agree with was when you said "I do not support IR relationships because I think we, as a black race, are already fractured". I agree with the "fractured" part but the part when you said "I do not support IR relationships" is what I didn't agree with. Other than that, I agree 100% with you. I believe that the black man has been trained to seek white women, and when they have another race on their arms it's an elevation of status. I have black male friends that say that white women give them "good head" and they are more sexually adventurous and docile. They are easily controlled. I think you and I are basically on the same page except for that small disagreement.
