REALITY FAB: SWV Heads To WeTV With A Reality TV Series!

SWV will be opening up their personal lives to the cameras in a new WeTV reality series. Find out more inside....

Sisters With Voices (SWV) are the latest set of R&B divas who will be opening up their lives to reality tv audiences. Member Taj George already did a reality show with her husband, Eddie George, a few years ago with their "I Married A Baller" show. And the group's new series has just been announced among the new lineup of shows at WeTV (who also air "Braxton Family Values" "Mary, Mary" and "Tamar and Vince").

The unscripted docu-drama is produced by eOne Entertainment and will follow the group's new musical resurgence (they released their first album in 15 years, “I Missed Us”, in 2011). And they'll also explore the off-stage dynamic between the ladies, including why the group broke up in the late 90′s.

For now, the show doesn't have an official title or release date, but the ladies shot the pilot for the series last fall.

I'm a fan from way back and their last CD was straight FIYAH so I will definately watch. I'm interested to know if they are going to put out another CD even though the last one didn't sell like it should have.

I agree they did that last Album and most know health comes frm a far more deeper place than looks unlike these sheep, who come on the blog to only like someone bcuz they're Slim n' Pretty all day but not sangin' a thing lol! I know, respect, and admire these beautiful ladies inside n' out, due to the timeless music given n' still pushing, their humble spirit, along w/ their loyalty toward each other, rather than this visually self absorbed untalented game now, which always tries to make that BS our BEST..and it's nice u pointed that out!

I 'm a fan of SWV but they need to get in shape. Whew! It's like they have weave to match their weight gain. No Maam...not saying 'skinny' is best but its obvious that they're not healthy. Their looks distract from their singing ability.

Can you believe there was a time when people had successful recordng careers based on their talent and not on their looks? We're so brainwashed at this point that we don't even want to see good singers if they are not skinny and cute. That's why people like Cassie, Ciara and Brittany are allowed to have careers with no singing ability at all. SMDH

Im not saying that I dont understand what you are saying but talent isnt going to keep them alive and well. it for dam sure isnt anything that the masses will appeal to (see: buy) so unless they want to end up looking like aretha then they should get right. obesity is played out....yes, even for black women. they are in their 30s and look like they got the diabeetus and gout of a 70 year old. you can be talented AND healthy. nothing wrong with trying to do better, get better, feel better and look better. as for Ciara, Cassie and Brittany---they barely have careers anydamways.....lol. who you trying to fool? talent alone wasnt enuf to keep Levert and Luther from keeling over waaaaaaaaay too early in life. lets get it together and stop making excuses, people. why have all that talent in a raggedy ass package?

Brittany is still selling. Ciara and Cassie have new albums coming out. Someone is riding for them. The ladies above are not obese. They just aren't skinny which is what is expected these days. They aren't in their 30s either. They are not fat enough for their weight to be causing health issues. For the person below to say women were always judged look up Evelyn Champaign King, Cheryl Lynn, Stefanie Mills, Total, Escape, Brownstone. I could go on and on with ladies that were either not cute or were overweight, but had great careers. That is not allowed anymore. By the way both LeVert boys died from perscription drug abuse.

we gonna have to agree to disagree on all counts. and yes, they are in their 30s because the one from the bronx grew up around my way. IF they are 40 its very early 40s. either way, they were they look swole, uncomfortable and gassy to me.

Women have ALWAYS been judged

Women have ALWAYS been judged on their looks--as singers, actresses, etc. It's not about brain-washing its a matter of personal-preference. Adele, Chrisete Michele, Jazmine Sullivan are ALL talented singers who are not skinny but none of them look unhealthy or hidden behind excessive weaves like SWV. To each his own.

The ladies of SWV don't look unhealthy either and all three of them are smaller than Adele. Jazmine wheres weaves too. Lastly Chrisette and Jazmine don't sell in today's market. I'm surprised they still have deals.

As I said before, to each his own. SWV damn sure don't look 'healthy'; and I never gave a specofoc size of attractiveness or good health. I also never said that the other singers I named don't wear weaves but in *MY* opinion, their weaves have never been as excessive or unflattering as the ones worn by SWV in the above pic. I find all that hair to be either a distraction or a mask related to hiding their weight cuz they did NOT wear big ol wigs/weaves back in the day. In conclusion, you contradicted your previous statement by saying you're surprised that Jazmine & Chrisette still have deals. As you pointed out before, REAL talented is not limited by weight. How many cds did SWV sell last year? Any concerts/tours? I didn't think so. Like Shuga-we'll agree to disagree.

I started off saying that there used to be a day where talent mattered more than looks. Today is not that day. That is why Chrisette & Jasmine are not selling. And I think that is part of the reason SWV last CD didn't sell even though it was the bomb. Love that we disagreed without going to war. Nothing wrong with healthy debate. :)
