Singer Bobby Brown is a free man after serving a whopping 9 hours....of a 55-day jail sentence.  Decide if America's justice system is a "fail" inside....

Controversial R&B singer Bobby Brown, who has a very long history with substance abuse, was sentenced to 55-days in jail following his most recent DUI arrest.  But it's the amount of time he spent behind bars that's put him on Lindsay Lohan-status.

Though a judge sentenced the singer to 55-days in jail for his third DUI arrest (it was his second arrest in 7 months), he spent a total of nine hours behind bars.  If that sounds shocking, it's interesting to note that being a "celebrity" had very little to do with the short turnaround time.  Bobby was in-and-out so quickly because of jail-overcrowding!

Now that he's out on the road again, he's expected to attend alcohol education classes for 18 months and complete 4 years of probation.  We can only hope he makes it through without violating probation or turning back to the bottle.
