Lil Wayne’s album The Carter V was pushed back (yet again) after it was scheduled to drop Oct. 28th. But don’t fret! Weezy has something big in store for his fans. Find out the new release date and the deets inside….

Lil Wayne fans were super upset when they realized Weezy didn’t drop his highly anticipated eleventh studio album Tha Carter V on Tuesday (Oct. 28th). But he had a good reason…so he says.

Since you can only put a limited amount of tracks on one CD, the Young Money head honcho has decided to release his new album in two parts. He said he has been steadily working hard in the studio on the new LP and he worked way too hard to cheat his fans with just 12-13 songs on an album.

He revealed, as of now, he has 31 songs he would like to put on the upcoming album and that’s still excluding a few tracks. Rather than trying to pick a few tracks from the massive amount of material he has recorded, fans will get to rock out with Weezy on two separate parts of the LP.

He explained in a video clip,

“This album means a whole lot to me and I know the real fans out there, it means a whole lot to them too. So, I kinda refuse to cheat them and just give them anything, and give them anything rushed. And I recorded so many songs, we had to come up with an idea or a way to get all the music out there and not just 13 songs or 12 songs. This is the title listing for now. I mean right now I think that’s like 31 songs and it’s missing songs.”

He confirmed the first part of the album will drop December 9th. No word on the official release of the second part.

And to hold fans over till December, he dropped a new track from the album titled, “Gotti” featuring The LOX. Take a listen:

This news comes on the heels of YMCMB raptress Nicki Minaj’s third studio album, The Pinkprint, also being pushed back to December 15th. Guess they're working on making this a YMCMB Christmas....
