Awards season is officially underway. And the 2016 Golden Globes nominations were just announced. Find out which YBFers are going to the Globes inside!

The 73rd Annual Golden Globes nominations have been announced and there’s another face off between two of our fave YBF chicks.

After both being nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the EMMYs, “Empire” star Taraji P. Henson and “How To Get Away With Murder” star Viola Davis are both in the running for Best Performance By An Actress In Television Series – Drama for the 2016 Golden Globe Award. Viola took home the win (and made history) at the EMMYs, but it was ALL love between these two powerful YBF women.

There’s another YBF chick face off. "Orange Is The New Black" star Uzo Aduba and "American Crime" star Regina King are in the running for Best Performance By An Actress In A Supporting Role In A Series, Limited Series, Or Motion Picture Made For Television. The competition is stiff! Also, “Orange Is The New Black” has been nominated for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

“Empire” grabbed its own nod for Best Television Series – Drama category. The competition includes “Game of Thrones,” “Mr. Robot,” “Narcos,” and “Outlander.

Will Smith was nominated for Best Performance By An Actor In A Motion Picture – Drama for his portrayal as forensic pathologist Bennet Omalu in Concussion. He’s up against Bryan Cranston, Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Fassbender and Eddie Redmayne.

The sexiness that is Idris Elba is up for two awards. He has been nominated in the Best Performance By An Actor In A Supporting Role In Any Motion Picture for Beasts Of No Nation. He also nabbed a nod in Best Performance By An Actor In A Limited Series Or Motion Picture Made For Television for “Luther" going up against David Oyelowo in "Nightingale."

Queen Latifah is up for Best Performance By An Actress In A Limited Series Or Motion Picture Made For Television for her role in the HBO Bessie biopic. Rapper Wiz Khalifa also nabbed a nomination for Best Original Song for his Paul Walker tribute track “See You Again" with Charlie Puth.

“American Horror Story,” which stars Angela Bassett is up for Best Television Limited Series Or Motion Picture Made For Television. And Mad Max: Fury Road, which stars Zoe Kravitz, has been nominated for Best Motion Picture - Drama. Hmm...no nods for Straight Outta Compton? Interesting.

Check out the full list here. Congrats all around!
