Angela Bassett just gets it every. single. time!
The 57-year-old Oscar nominated actress came through looking like Hollywood royalty at FX's “American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson” premiere at Westwood Village Theatre last night. HOT.
The “American Horror Story” star strutted her stuff in a white crisscross v-neckline dress by Finders Keepers The Label, a pair of René Caovilla shoes and she finished her gorgeous look with Ippolita jewels, styled by Jennier Austin. Those "guns" though! Chick is fit and fabulous.
Angie came out to show supoort for her hubby who will be on her same network, Courtney Vance, who stars in the series as lawyer Johnnie Cochran. Once they linked up on the carpet, the twosome snapped a few fun coupledom shots:
Black love at its best.
“Scream Queens” star Niecy Nash has been coming through with some pretty fab looks lately. And last night was no different.
The YBF actress showed off her curvy figure in a LBD that served the right amount of cleavage. She finished her look with a stylish pair of pumps and her hair was laid!
Work! Chick is looking half her age these days.
The new show’s lead star Cuba Gooding Jr. showed up at the premiere looking dapper in a black suit.
While chatting with reporters at the event, the Oscar winner weighed in on the lack of diversity in today's films vs. diversity in television. He said, “You look at our project, ‘The People v. O.J. Simpson,’ it’s the Rainbow Coalition. Until we get to a place where films are being told from the perspectives of Native and First Americans, Asians and African Americans, we’re only going to, as members, have a limited pool to choose from for nominations.”
Cuba also said, had he been invited to this year's Academy Awards, he would attend to show support to Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs and the new changes.
Oscar nominated director John Singleton, who helms a few episodes on the upcoming drama, also weighed in on the diversity controversy. He said,
“The whole concept of race has been upended on a general level, but systematically it hasn’t. Systematically, they’re saying, ‘You’re this. You’re this. You’re this.’ But the people, especially the last generation or two, they’ve upended that.”
Former “Cosby” kid star Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who stars in the series, had alot going on with his ensemble. That blazer and scarf....
Actress Keesha Sharp, who also stars in the series, flossed her killer legs in a sexy LBD.
