2016 has been an amazing year for the “How To Get Away With Murder” actress as she has picked up several nominations, including SAG Awards, Golden Globe Awards and NAACP Image Awards, just to name a few.
This year, she received her second Screen Actors Guild Award and her second Emmy nomination for portraying Annalise Keating in "HTGAWM."
Viola also made history last year as the first black woman to win a Primetime EMMY Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series.
The Oscar nominated actress hit the carpet for a special screening of FENCES at the Rose Theater in NYC. The 51-year-old stunner kept it simple and elegant in a black gown accented with magenta for a pop of color. Y'all know she loves a pop-o-color.
Per usual, her producer husband Julius Tennon was right by her side to celebrate her new flick.
Oh, ok Pauletta Washington! Denzel Washington’s wife joined him on the carpet where she showed off a little skin in a black see-through top paired with a black skirt and black boots. Denzel, who produced, directed and starred in the film, kept it dapper in a black suit all smiles as he posed it up alongside his wife.
"EXTRA" correspondent AJ Calloway was on selfie duty! He nabbed a flick with Denzel on the red carpet.

Cutie Saniyya Sidney, who stars in the film, struck several poses in a gorgeous pink custom Isabella Couture high low dress that she paired with gold flats. She’s adorable!
Oh baby! Star Russell Hornsby brought his pregnant wife Denise Walker as his date for the screening. They’re due to have their second baby boy on March 28th. How exciting!
R&B crooner Usher came out to see the film adaptation of August Wilson's Tony Award winning Broadway play.
Olympic gold gymnast Gabby Douglas came out to show support and looked extra good. She got the chance to chop it up with Denzel on the carpet.
New mom Denise Vasi looked beautiful as she posed it up on the carpet.
Rev. Al Sharpton and his girlfriend Aisha McShaw were also in the mix.
At the afterparty...
Viola nabbed a photo-op with "The Actors Studio" host/executive producer James Lipton.
Jovan Adepo, who plays Denzel's on-screen son Cory in the film, was dressed identical to his on-screen dad. Ha!
Before the screening....
The cast linked up with Stephen Henderson, who starred in the Broadway play, to take part in SiriusXM's Town Hall, hosted by Karen Hunter, in NYC.
FENCES hit theaters nationwide Christmas Day.
