Aflre Woodard's Sistahs Soiree Oscars Party Had All The Melanin Beauties + Naomi Campbell’s Leg Action Takes Over Brit Awards
Alfre Woodard’s Sistahs Soiree was nothing short of melanin magic with all the YBF attendees looking gorgeous as ever. Go inside for the flicks from the soiree, plus Naomi Campbell heating up the Brit Awards inside…
Back in 2009, Hollywood veteran Alfre Woodard decided she would put together an event to celebrate all of the brown beauties of the acting world. There’s this notion that black actresses are in constant completion with one another, likely due to the fact that there aren’t as many roles for black woman as their white counterparts. But, the Sistahs Soiree pre-Oscar party totally changes up that conversation.
The “Luke Cage” actress created an evening where YBF actresses can come together and celebrate their accomplishments and, of course, each other. Alfre teamed up with Farfetch to host the 8th Annual Oscar's Sistahs Soiree at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel last night. And it was magical.
The guest list included: LaTanya Richardson, Chandra Wilson, Lorraine Toussaint, Tessa Mae-Thompson, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Yolanda Ross, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kim Wayans, Rashida Jones and Loretta Devine, Beverly Todd, Octavia Spencer, Edwina Findley, Viola Davis, Diahann Carroll, Aja Naomi King, Ruth Negga, Cynthia Erivo, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Rosario Dawson and Adepero Oduye.

Legs for days!
After hitting up runway shows at London Fashion Week, supermodel Naomi Campbell made her way to the O2 Arena for the 2017 Brit Awards. The runway slayer flossed her killer legs on the red carpet in shimmery silver long sleeve body suit with her hair slicked to one side. She was tapped to present during the show. Werk!
Several other YBFers hit the carpet, including singer Raye, singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas, singer Nicole Scherzinger, singer Alesha Dixon, and Apple Music exec Bozoma "Boz" Saint John:
Jonathan Ross joined Naomi on stage to present the Global Success award.
And Bruno Mars rocked the stage with a lively performance.
