I’m just not feeling this look on LaLa…or on her man Carmelo.  The all grey suit with the black shirt and tie is just not a good look on this dude.  And next time, get a tailor homie.

P.S.A. to Ashanti who wanted to walk around on stage with the entire bottom half of her dress in her hand last night:

If your dress is too long Ashanti, hem that sh*t.  Because gathering the entire bottom half of the dress and walking around on stage like you’re a second away from tipping over and showing us all your Britney–is not what that is boo.  And what is that “good good” she was talking about?  Other than that, I actually liked the dress when it was rocked correctly.

Best performance of the night goes to Al Green with Jill Scott, Maxwell, and Anthony Hamilton doing his songs justice during the tribute:

Schooling the youngins who have a capful of talent on how this ish is supposed to go.  Loved it. 

Alicia Keys was my second fave of the night since she brought it back with the R&B ladies of the 90’s:

Seriously Pretty Ricky?  I guess I should consider this an upgrade since last year they wore silver metallic suits with smoking robes on top in the 300 degree heat.  This year it’s just the gold metallic suits.  I’m still mad though.

Oh so now we’re bringing our new man Kenyon Martin on the red carpet Trina?  I guess.

While I actually loved her sexy yellow dress and thought she looked fab in it repping for the CGU click, that damn camp LV bag really threw it all off.  Unnecessary.

And as for Ashanti’s look:

I liked the Marchesa gown, but it wasn’t the most fabulous pick she could have chosen to me.  Especially because she couldn’t keep that mess closed enough all night.

Rick Ross really looks like a tanned Michelin Man.  And that’s not a good thing.

I’m loving the color on Chrisette, but not the fit.

Rihanna rocked a gorgeous floor length ruffled soft yellow Giambattista Valli gown.  Not loving the wintery makeup for such a summery dress.  But chick looked fabulous nonetheless.

Ms. Keys rocked the hot Sergio Rossi shoes to set off her pink David Meister strapless dress.  Loved the look.

These three ladies killed the red carpet.  Malika looked cute in her simple red dress, Lauren London rocked a French Connection dress with the some of the hottest Givenchy booties ever, and Cassie’s Vivienne Westwood dress was surprisingly hot.  I just wish she would have added some of that spray on wrinkle-free Downy that only cost a dollar.

And um, Nelly.  Self-explanatory.

Rih Rih worked it with the simple jewelry.

I’m loving the Simmons Sisters‘ looks.  Especially the pairing of the Chanel tweed jacket with the cami Herve Leger dress Angela rocked.

Of course Ms. Keys killed it on the makeup front.

An iron would have set this off nicely.  Fab look on her though.

Alesha Renee’s gown was a nice color for her skin and the beading was hot.

Kenya Moore always brings it.

Big Boi’s wife looked pretty hot filling out her HL dress.  As much as I want everybody to retire them, every now and then somebody rocks the Herve nicely enough for me to like it again.

I see you LisaRaye and your fabness.  Nice look for her.  And it isn’t white.

David Banner, donned in Gucci, looked sexy as all get out on that carpet.

En Vogue made a surprise appearance and looks like they haven’t changed a bit.

I actually really liked this corseted look for J-Hud.  Especially because she kept the girls and the curves in tact all night.  It worked.  The dress is by Peter Soronen by the way.

Jordin Sparks hit the carpet with her brother and a fabulous red dress:

Very cute look for her.

Kirk Franklin’s wife Tammy looked hot in her pink and white ombre gown.

Lauren changed it up into yellow when she got inside.

Chick brought the fabulousness and yes we all hate her for it.

I see you Trey Songz in your dapper down all black and new fresh new fade.  Hotness.
