And she was decked out in Armani Prive (as she had just left that show).  Very bold and daring look for any celeb.  And again, we’re riding the fine line between high fashion and just tacky.  So…

For the July issue of Italian Vogue, they have photographed only black models. In a reverse of the general pattern of fashion magazines, all the faces are black, and all the feature topics are related to black women in the arts and entertainment.  This issue of Italian Vogue will be on European newsstands next Thursday and in the United States soon after.  And you can read all about it here. Hotness.  Here’s what the photographer had to say about his inspiration for this issue:

“I thought, it’s ridiculous, this discrimination,” said Mr. Meisel, speaking by phone from his home in Los Angeles. “It’s so crazy to live in such a narrow, narrow place. Age, weight, sexuality, race — every kind of prejudice.”

…Mr. Meisel has his own theories about why black models, save for the token few, have disappeared from runways. “Perhaps the designers, perhaps the magazine editors,” he said. “They are the powerful people. And the advertisers. I have asked my advertising clients so many times, ‘Can we use a black girl?’ They say no.” The concern is that consumers will resist the product, he said. “It all comes down to money.”

Chris Brown was seen leaving TRL studios yesterday in this extra smedium dark denim vest jacket and pants.

And Floyd “Pretty Boy” Mayweather (Chilli’s rumored man) was spotted leaving the Lakers game last night in the light denim jacket and jeans. Why this look irks me…I don’t know. I simply just want it to stop.

Michelle Obama, wife of Presidential hopeful Barack Obama, has definitely been putting her best foot forward lately.  And I always love to focus on a YBF chick so we can all share in her fabulousness.  The NY Post is profiling the Mrs. and her fashion sense.  And I must say, she reminds me of a more modern day Jackie Onassis.  And I love it. 

As a corporate lawyer for several years, a mother of two girls, and a wife to the soon to be most powerful man in the world, she’s still holding it down on the fab side.  We love her outspokeness, intelligence, her carefree PDAs with her husband, and her willingness to take chances with political fashion.  No wonder her husband always looks absolutely smitten in each and every picture with her.  Even Oprah, who is ecstatic about Barack’s official nod, speaks extra highly of her.  And now we get to find out even more about her personality as Michelle’s set to co-host The View on June 18th.  A YBF chick indeed.
