Ray-J's New Reality Show+Nelly's New Sean John Underwear Gig+Italian Vogue is Team Obama?

Ray-J was spotted out and about...once again...with Mama Whit. They hit up Villa nightclub together Saturday night. And conveniently, this comes right after Ray-J's people confirmed to TheYBF.com that his reality show is indeed in the works right now. It's unclear as to whether taping has already completely wrapped up or if they're just doing sporadic shots--like this one--here and there. But Brandy's lil bro has indeed made the move from porn star to wannabe reality star. What his show could possibly be about is beyond me. But if Whitney is all up and through it, my DVR will be set. Show me the receipts! More ish when you read the rest...

Candids, Runway, & Solange's Album Cover

Christina Milian and her boo Dre were spotted leaving the movies this week: I never thought I'd say this but that outfit is a hot ass mess Chrissy. And the neon pink Marc Jacobs bag is even worse. Still gots love for you though. And here's Solange's new album cover: I'm feelin' it. Rihanna Talks About Fashion & Her Complexion

Here's the rest of the Rihanna's InStyle spread from the August issue hitting stands July 17th:

She rocks a Bill Blass blouse and Catherine Angiel necklace in this cover look.

One of my fave looks--she pairs a Valentino dress with Gucci leather booties. A Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci gold-plated necklace completes the look.

For a fall look--Rihanna sports a Chanel tweed vest, Helmut Lang jeans, and jewelry from Chanel and MCL by Matthew Campbell Laurenza.

A Rose Anne de Pampelonne necklace and Chrome Hearts belt add a modern touch to Rih Rih's feathery Fendi frock.

And here she rocks a hot pink Emanuel Ungaro silk-nylon jacket, BCBG Max Azria dress, and sexy Emanuel Ungaro eelskin heels. [In Style's August] issue is all about breaking entrenched rules of fashion and design. What are some rules you'd like to crush? "The idea of not wearing brown and black together seems so dated. The other day I wore a black T-shirt, black Nobody jeans, a brown leopard-print belt by Dolce & Gabbana, and brown Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and it looked awesome. Also, the rule about not matching your makeup to your outfit. I do that onstage, matching red lipstick to a bright red jacket or neon-pink eye shadow to a pink jumpsuit. And I also love to mix prints. We've had the Meg, the Jennifer, and now people ask for the Rihanna at salons. Will you be switching it up again? "The first time I heard people were asking for the Rihanna, it was really flattering and maybe a little strange. It caught me by surprise, but now I feel it's a very cool thing. I don't feel the pressure to change it up again at all. I like it, as they like it." Can you talk about your style obsessions and how your look has evolved over the years? "It has evolved without my even noticing it. Lately I'm obsessed with Thierry Mugler... Grace Jones inspires me. She is the most iconic woman ever, in my eyes. She has extraordinary style and she's fearless. I love designer Martin Margiela; Kanye West told me about him. I also like Dsquared, Chloe, Zac Posen..." But you weren't always a fashion maven? Growing up in Barbados, you were a tomboy. "I wore my brother's clothes, dresses with sneakers, or no shoes at all. I would always get into trouble with my mom. She would say things to scare me like, 'You're going to get cut!' But I couldn't help it. I would climb trees, steal mangoes, catch birds--silly things that were fun to us at the time. My cousin and I were the only girls in the group. We would have to stand up for ourselves because the guys didn't want us around." You stood out in Barbados because of your light complexion. Do you remember having trouble fitting in at school? "Definitely. It made me angry. For the first six years of school, I would go home traumatized. The harassment continued to my very last day of elementary school. High school was better." The rest of the Q/A when you read the rest...

Vogue Italia Goes All-Black

For the July issue of Italian Vogue, they have photographed only black models. In a reverse of the general pattern of fashion magazines, all the faces are black, and all the feature topics are related to black women in the arts and entertainment. This issue of Italian Vogue will be on European newsstands next Thursday and in the United States soon after. And you can read all about it here. Hotness. Here's what the photographer had to say about his inspiration for this issue:
"I thought, it’s ridiculous, this discrimination,” said Mr. Meisel, speaking by phone from his home in Los Angeles. “It’s so crazy to live in such a narrow, narrow place. Age, weight, sexuality, race — every kind of prejudice.” …Mr. Meisel has his own theories about why black models, save for the token few, have disappeared from runways. “Perhaps the designers, perhaps the magazine editors,” he said. “They are the powerful people. And the advertisers. I have asked my advertising clients so many times, ‘Can we use a black girl?’ They say no.” The concern is that consumers will resist the product, he said. “It all comes down to money."
{Click Thumbnail}Apparently there was a battle to see who would get the cover of the historic issue. And the winner is Liya Kebede. The pullout cover then goes to Naomi Campbell, Sessilee Lopez and Jourdan Dunn. Other models featured in the mag are Veronica Webb, Tyra Banks, and Toccara. Pure hotness. More pics from the issue when you read the rest...

PSA: Stop The Head To Toe Jean Outfits!

Because I've just been seeing too much of this lately, I decided to make a public service announcement. Rocking an entire jean outfit has not been ok since the early 90's. It was barely was ok then. Yet, some men still like to rock it like it's a new style:

Chris Brown was seen leaving TRL studios yesterday in this extra smedium dark denim vest jacket and pants.

And Floyd "Pretty Boy" Mayweather (Chilli's rumored man) was spotted leaving the Lakers game last night in the light denim jacket and jeans. Why this look irks me...I don't know. I simply just want it to stop. More pics of celebs leaving last night's Laker's game when you read the rest...
