How old is this lil boy? Where is his daddy? I have several questions but honestly I’m not wasting anymore finger energy on these 3-foot wack dudes. While all the disses toward Bow Wow were quite comical, I can’t condone this ish. The Napoleon complexes are really running rampant in the industry right now. And it must stop.

Check out newcomer Vince. Vince is an electro/grunge/hip hop artist from Springfield, IL. Vince currently lives in Chicago and is working with Kanye West’s GOOD Music and Juelz Santana’s new label Skull Gang. His first project “Cool By Association” will be distributed by URB Magazine on their web site starting early next week. Here’s his first single “Wait and See”:

Interesting.

Twenty one year old Philly native Jazmine Sullivan has been on the scene for a little while now and thanks to her “Need You Bad” single (one of my faves of the moment by the way) folks are starting to take notice.  It’s produced by Missy and you can check the brand new video.  Her sound brings me back to those fab mid 90’s Lauryn Hill days .  Oh how I miss thee….

And it looks like Bow Wow and Omarion are having a lover’s quarrel:

Bow hopped on the “Lookin Boy” track for a remix and he fired some shots at O about those extra smedium ass pants he wears…as well as some other disses. I’m sure it’s all just for publicity though. We all know the real deal.

Yet another daughter of a pro athlete wants to break into the music world. Jacqui “Qui” Rice, daughter of former NFL player Jerry Rice, is ready to make her musical debut to the world. Her first single “Rev It Up” features David Banner. Qui’s album LUV ‘N LIFE is slated for release this summer. Listen to the single here.

A little about Qui (pronounced “Kwee”): She’s currently maintaining a 4.0 average at Washington, D.C.’s Georgetown University,majoring in government and Spanish, with a focus on international relations. While recording LUV ‘N LIFE, Qui says her goal was to keep it “funky, fun and positive. You pretty much groove to every song on here.” About her fam, she says: “My lifestyle doesn’t depend on my Dad or Mom’s success. I want to make a first impression based on who I am alone.”

This season of The Real World: Hollywood is the first season I’ve watched since RW Vegas several years ago. And that’s because it was ultra whack until now. And, unlike other seasons, they have mad black folks on this season who aren’t the typical stereotypes MTV likes to push. The house is even getting two additional YBF people now that Greg and Joey are gone.

Anyways, one of the housemates, Brianna Taylor (Bri), came on the show to land a singing career (instead of continuing her stripper career back home in Philly) and it looks like she finally got off the couch and made an album. She surprisingly sounded like she had some talent when she sings on the show every now and then, but you can check out one of her tracks that I actually like called “Summertime”:

And speaking of Texas, 26 year old YBF chick Crystle Stewart, who was serving as Miss Texas, was crowned Miss USA last night:

She was crowned by former Miss USA Rachel Smith.

Crystle runs a party planning and motivational speaking company and is a professional model who wishes to dedicate her life to international philanthropy. This was her sixth attempt at the top spot as she first competed for the Miss Texas crown in 2002 and placed as a runner-up several times. Fabulous.
