Damn Remy. Chick took a loss today. She was formally sentenced to 8 years in Rikers for shooting Makeda Barnes outside a NYC nightclub months ago. Her lawyer says they will appeal, but in the meantime chick is on heavy lock up status. And to make matters worse, her jailbird wedding to Papoose never went own yesterday as planned. Why you ask? Because dum dum diddy Papoose tried to sneak in a handcuff key and is now banned from even visiting Rikers for the next six months. You’re in lock up in Rikers with nobody to do your weave, no freedom to rock your fave coochie cutters, and now not even a conjugal visit can go down for six months? Damn homie. Rough times.

Sources exclusively tell The YBF that Alicia Keys is the next spokesperson for Vitamin Water. She’ll be joining 50 Cent (who has recently stated he doesn’t like Alicia anymore) and Kelly Clarkson in that Vitamin Water hawking arena. I’m told her contract with the Vitamin Water company is worth $50 million. Damn. An announcement will likely happen some time in June around her Summer Jam appearance in the NYC. Congrats to Alicia!

I guess Popeye’s restaurants (Bey’s usual indulgence) are hard to come by in NY. Beyonce was in serious need of a burger fix right after the Metropolitan Costume Gala the other night and stopped by Pop Burger still in her ball gown…with Jay in tow…to get them to open their doors after closing time and bag up some burgers for them to go. Midnight cravings huh? I ain’t speculating but um….

This dude can’t stay out of trouble even when he’s irrelevant. Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was arrested for the umpteenth time on suspicion of felony domestic battery yesterday (April 30th). The police booking records reveal he was arrested at 11 PM at a Century City hotel in Los Angeles, California and was released early this morning (May 1st) on $50,000 bail. He was spotted having lunch at the Saddle Ranch Chop House in L.A. yesterday. And then he went back there for dinner last night right before he was arrested. You’re too old for this ish Dennis. He’s set for a May 22nd court date. The real question here is who did this man beat–because it sounds like it may be a family member or one of his chicks (Sources are reporting it’s the latter). We all knew it was coming. Especially when dude was dodging the feds and escaping to Africa a while back. But the Feds definitely got Wesley Snipes today and sentenced him to 3 years in prison on tax charges. Several of his friends, like Denzel Washington, sent in letters to the court pleading for him to only get probation because of his good character. But clearly all that ish was a no go since the judge sentenced him to 1 year per year of him willfully not filing a tax return. Damn. When will folks learn? See you in three years boo. Cue the Free Wesley Snipes tees…

Multi millionaire NBA dudes never cease to amaze me. Carmelo Anthony, seemingly eternal fiance of MTV’s LaLa Vasquez, was arresed this morning in Denver on suspicion of drunk driving. According to reports:

Anthony was driving south on Interstate 25 at around 4 a.m. when he was pulled over and taken into custody. Denver police said he was driving a silver Mercedes and was stopped for failing to drive in a single lane and failing to dim lights. Several Denver media outlets reported that he was given a Breathalyzer test.

He did take a blood test and was released on bond a while later. His test results will be back in 2 weeks and his court date is set for May 14. Didn’t you just have a kid Melo? And can’t you more than afford a damn driver? Let’s do better.
