Just when things started to get all peachy again with Shaquille and Shaunie, some chick (who claims she’s an Atlanta hip hop artist called Mary Jane) named Alexis Miller is accusing Shaquille of threatening her.  Apparently they had an affair and he threatened her “career” if she told anyone.  According to TMZ:

Alexis Miller, an Atlanta hip hop artist who goes by Mary Jane, just got a restraining order against Shaquille O’Neal, alleging he threatened to hurt her and harassed her with heavy-breathing over the phone. Miller claims they had an affair and that when it ended, Shaq threatened he’d wreck her career if she told anyone.

According to court docs Shaq wrote her one email that reads, “I dnt no who the fuk u think u dealin wit u will neva be heard from one phone call is all I gotta make no try me. Sho me.”

O’Neal is scheduled to appear before a judge on Sept. 4.

Sigh.  Why am I not surprised at all?  Damn shame.

Well if it isn’t art imitating life. And vice versa I guess. Felicia “Snoop” Pearson, one of the co-stars of “The Wire”, has been arrested on suspicion of minor drugs charges. And it looks like a work around for the cops to detain her for a lengthy amount of time since she initially refused to cooperate in a pending murder trial she’s a witness in. Cops busted into her Baltimore home with a body warrant yesterday and found cigars filled with “possible drugs”. She was then taken in and can be detained until September 16th. If this ain’t some “Wire” ish I don’t know what is.

50 Cent is said to now be cooperating with the officials investigating his suspicious house fire. This week reports said he was avoiding speaking to them for some unknown reason and the investigation could not move forward without 50 being interviewed. But his lawyers state:

“50 and his attorneys met yesterday (Wednesday) with Suffolk County authorities regarding the fire that destroyed 50’s house. The meeting had been arranged weeks ago. 50 is eager to review the findings of the investigation, when it is concluded.”

I wonder if his baby’s mama Shaniqua is shook now?

Dexter King, Martin’s son who was sued by his siblings Martin III and Bernice just a few months ago, is counter-suing his siblings for their mishandling of money and the family organization:

In the suit filed on Monday, Dexter King said his siblings have established foundations that compete with The King Center and have used the center for personal gain. It also says the foundations conflict with their duties on the center’s board of directors, which all three children serve on.

The lawsuit continues an escalating feud between Dexter, nice and Martin Luther King III that has played out in the media.

Bernice King and Martin Luther King III sued Dexter King in July to force him to open the books of their father’s estate, which sold a collection of more than 10,000 of his personal papers and books in 2006 for $32 million.

Bernice King founded the Coretta Scott King Foundation in December 2007, which the lawsuit says also competes with The King Center. The lawsuit accuses both siblings of “demonstrating bad faith, being stubbornly litigious, and causing The King Center unnecessary trouble and expense” and seeks an undisclosed amount of money. Just a mess.

While this may be a good cause and all, I can’t help but laugh at this ish.  Especially since this is what a member of a platinum selling group is off doing while Diddy was bringing his jumpoff material Assie to perform over at FNMTV.  I could think of a few better people Diddy could have chosen for this here event thanks to all the practice they’ve had.  I’m just sayin’…

Yes…that’s his skankalicious wife CoCo on stage with Ice doing who know’s what during one of Body Count’s recent performances.  And I have a feeling video of this would have been Must See TV.  I would say somebody should have tapped CoCo and let her know her chi chi fell out.  But I seriously doubt that chick even cared. 

In true Groundhog Day form, DMX/Earl Simmons was arrested this evening for the umpteenth time in front of a Miami Wal-Mart.  How fitting.  According to the Miami Herald:

Simmons, 37, was in a vehicle parked in a handicapped spot in the parking lot at 1425 NE 163rd St., police said.

‘The officer approached him and a routine check revealed that he had a warrant out of Maricopa County,’

It is still beyond me how and why this dude gets released each time he goes to lock up.  I don’t even feel like counting how many times he’s been arrested in the last few months.   Earl needs to stop the crack-like foolishness ASAP.

First Miss Jones gets the ax, now Wendy?  Sources, who are as close to the horse’s mouth you can possibly get, exclusively tell TheYBF.com that the Queen of All Media Wendy Williams was “asked to take a couple days off” from “The Wendy Williams Experience” until next week sometime.  Her bosses aren’t calling it an official suspension but we all know the damn deal.  I’m also told the Experience is NOT a go for 2009, so she’s getting axed from free radio completely by the end of this year!  (I know for a fact that ratings have very little to do with companies putting the ax on shows these days–even top rated shows are getting the boot.  Radio is very political and touchy these days.)

Yesterday on her show she hilariously cut up about the fact that Inner City Broadcasting Corporation cut out her Bonus Hour even though it was in her contract.  She said the Bonus Hour is her favorite hour of her entire 5 hour afternoon segment.  And adding in the extra hour on WBLS was her idea.  She went off on-air about how wack they were for removing it starting this upcoming Monday.   Apparently her bosses said the listeners “voted” and wanted more music, less talk.  And she just found out on Tuesday that there would be no bonus hour come Monday.  So ya’ll know she was a smart ass during her whole show about it.

Even worse, when she got on the radio yesterday, she basically told the listeners her husband Kevin got arrested had a run in with NYPD a few hours before while he was innocently rolling through Manhattan.  WTF?  This is the same Kevin that was allegedly hemming up Wendy’s former talent booker Nicole Spence and threatening and sexually harrassing her on a daily basis.

Oh, but there’s more.  Apparently Fox Networks is not going to pick up her Wendy Williams TV Talk Show for regular rotation.  They taped a few episodes these past couple months and it was only shown in a few test markets/cities.  And according to Wendy herself, she’s heard nothing about them actually picking it up as a regular show.  So that looks like it’s dunzo too.  Thy will be repeating the taped shows twice a day though starting soon.  But a little gossipy birdie tells me that Wendy Williams is moving to Satellite Radio.  That’s a better deal anyway honestly.  She’s also focusing on her biographical movie that’s already wrapped and set to come out some time soon.  I’m sure it’ll be straight to DVD but dammit…I’ll be copping that piece for my secret must-haves stash.
