As if Mos Def didn’t already disappoint the ladies who find him sexy by marrying that video scooch a year ago that he knew a whole 72 hours . Now, several very credible sources have informed me that he and his wife (Alayna Wyatt) are in the midst of divorce. Mainly because Mos has a new chick in his life. She is a Dubai princess named MiMi (real name is supposedly Mariam) that he met at the Dubai Film Festival last week and the paparazzi have always constantly tried to find dirt on this chick. She’s very protected (always with a minimum of 2 bodygaurds) and will go bad on anybody attempting to take her pic. She rarely goes out, is rarely photographed, and tries to be a downlow socialite. But now, her secret that she’s dating Mos Def is out. [I removed the pics of Mariam on my own terms]

Anyways, I hear MiMi’s the most sought after chick in the game (in Dubai) because she’s so mysterious and men think she’s the hottest thing ever to hit Dubai. I guess. I hear she’s also my Soror and got her Bachelor’s at UMASS and Masters degree at Yale here in the states. Her family is real pissy about photos of her hitting the gossip rags and media, but oh damn well. And on the real, I’m gonna need Mos to focus on promo’ing his new album True Magic that has been pushed back 3 times already. It’s slated to hit stores tomorrow but I hear from some sources that he’s trying to push back the date yet again because he wants to stay in Dubai even longer with his new lady. And if he stays, he won’t be able to do promo here in the states.

When I posted a bit of this story over at Ya Heard??? a couple days ago, folks overseas went nuts hitting up the site in epic proportions. Yes, I’m serious. Apparently there’s just something about this chick…

Posts have been slower than normal thanks to me being on Holiday vacay in Chicago right now and news being slow as all hell this week. But here goes:

She looks goreous as usual. On the gossip tip: Word has it Kelly is dating LeBron James’ manager Maverick Carter. I wouldn’t be surprised as she was spotted sitting behind the Cavs (LeBron’s team) bench at the Nets v. Cavs game last week.

She was trying to hide out from the tv cameras that were hounding Jay and B the whole game over on the Nets bench. Mmmhmm.

Unfortunately, Christmas morning yesterday started off with tragedy:

According to various media sources, James Brown died of heart failure around 2am Dec. 25th, 2006 less than two days after he had been hospitalized with pneumonia and only three days after leading his annual holiday toy giveaway in Augusta, GA. He was 73. It’s a sad week for entertainment, his loved ones and fans, and those who have love and respect for the gift of music and dance. The Godfather is irreplaceable.

And word has it he and his wife have finalized their divorce recently. Apparently this “divorce” thing is just a rumor. But dammit…he could get it.

This audio is funnier than it should be to me. So as most of you know, Star Jones was on Radio One the other day to do a 3 hour radio show. It’s the first–and only–stint she’s had since Stargate. So a man called in under the premise of being a huge fan of hers but stopped in the middle of his sentence and asked her “Just how fat are you Star Jones and is your husband gay?” Funniest ish I’ve heard in a minute. But the funniest thing was that she tried her damndest to get crunk with this dude instead of just hanging up. Sonned by phone. Priceless.
