Posting will be less than normal for the next week or so because I am in the process of moving. And for some reason THIS particular move is the most stressful ever. I’ve moved 5 times this year thanks to Katrina and school and damn if this one is not making me pull my hair out. Anyways, I’m moving from New Orleans to DC/VA this week and will be transferring to law school there either next semester or academic year. Wish me luck as I jump out on faith because this was a VERY hard decision to make. But it was something I needed to do for me and my sanity. Thanks so much for all of the prayers and support I’ve been getting from y’all. I do appreciate it.

By the way, the No-No “coming out” in Essence story has been labeled a definite fake buy one of my sources who is a writer at Essence. Take it or leave it.

And apparently Fox Boogie has given the gossip mill enough to talk about for days. Chick told the folks in court today hell to the yes she beat some manicurists’ asses. And she got caught stealing some belts this weekend. Stop it Inga.

Well if this aint the way to end a warm Sunday evening I don’t know what is. I’m being bombarded with the breaking news that Ne-Yo has confirmed in an Essence magazine interview that he is, in fact, gay. Yeah, “Oh sh*t!” came out of my mouth too. Now I wouldn’t be surprised if this was purely part of the fabulous rumor mill we all know and love. But damn. MK over at popbytes posted this announcement from a supposed Essence staffer:

The newly famed singer/songwriter has come out of the closet and announced that he is gay. The multi-platinum recording artist sat down for the October issue of Essence Magazine last week and announced the shocking news stating, “Yes, I am in fact gay, and I have always been.” After several internet rumors have been circulating around the internet. He also said, “You know this world we live in is full of judgement, resulting in one of the reasons why it took me so
long to come out.” Earlier this month, a man by the name of Derrick Johnson claimed that he had an intimate relationship with the singer during there teen years in high school. He also said that for months the singer and Def Jam has been trying to pay him to keep quiet over the ordeal. Ne-yo responds saying, that the relationship did occur and he is no longer ashamed of saying that he was deeply in love. Reciting “That situation was what inspired me to write the song “Unfaithful”. But no one knew it was actually about myself, and our relationship.” He told Essence that he doesn’t care anymore, he was tired of living a lie and is ready to come clean. Quoting, “the music industry can either
except me for who I am, or desert me.” The full interview with the magazine is expected to hit stands mid-October.
