Ok, so I was really excited b/c I had press passes to this thing and tickets…So BET was extremely unorganized and it doesn’t make sense b/c they’re a huge media company AND they are media, don’t you think they attended enough events and thrown as many to understand how to run them??!!? Guess not. My favorite part was the crowd…It was like 150 kids they had at the pre-show, then they herded them all to the back of the red carpet and the producers would prompt them on when to yell and scream…they were throwing candy to them during the red carpet to get them excited, so tacky.
Ok, so the show, it has some good parts, but it was the same damn nominees for every category, TI was supposed to perform, so they had to try and throw something together. I know this isn’t the Oscars or Grammys but I expected WAY more from BET and the HIP HOP community seeing that HIP HOP is so big right now and all…I will have to agree with whoever said the “dollar store awards” b/c that was def. a the theme of the night. BET needs to get it together.

All I have to say is this was an awards show, not some damn group trip to the aquarium. No this was not the Oscars, but Hip-Hop is the most prevalent genre of music in the world today. Negroes know how to play dress-up when they want to; and most folks chose to view the awards as fairly irrelevant as evidenced through their attire. I’m nerved that folks were acting (and dressing) like going to an awards show such as this was just another walk in the park…

I’m the odd ball because I love Trina’s dress. Ciara looks grown and sexy. She gets the most approved award. I hope she keeps this look up. Ciara looks so beautiful & classy – i KNOW Bow-Wow is slapping himself on a DAILY basis for letting her get away.
I love me some Keyshia Cole but for real she NEEDS stylist DESPERATELY! And doesn’t she notice that she looks soooooo much better when her hair is a little darker? More of a honey blonde color looks so much better on her. The lighter the hair is – the more washed out & anemic she looks.

I am so mad that there are folks walking around Lennox Square mall looking better than most of the folks in pictures on here. I thought Melissa Ford was the best looking woman. Dress was the appropriate lenght and well designed. There were just too many too tight..too short…too ugly…your stylist must be on vacation dresses on this red carpet!
