Rihanna’s thigh highs are nice…I haven’t seen these footless ones…but I knew when I saw “Carrie Bradshaw” wearing them in the pics from the set of the movie that every starlet was going to start with the thigh highs…Britney Spears was even wearing some the other night! lol I knew the socks were a trend this season, I saw them at the Prada show and I immediately dug them but I had a feeling they would be too trendy just like they were the last time we wore them in 94… Ahhhh well…either I’ll search obscure online shops for individual ones or I won’t go there at all, I don’t like being celluloid.
As for Kelis’s outfit…I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE her, but I’m not feeling her stuff lately either…I think it’s because fashion is being dictated by a few starlets who pay for professional sensibilities and so the stores are full of these otherwise quirky and individual pieces…Everybody is buying them and running what would have been peculiar and individual into the ground and when we see a TRULY stylish person wearing the same sorts of pieces, she looks just as monotonous as the other girls who are only buying what they see celebs in (I hope that statement wasn’t all over the place!)

Comment wasn’t allover the place–i totally agree. There used to be a time when being unique and dressing in a way that was different than the average Jane,was, well…unique. But now, it seems as though individuality has become mass-marketed. That said, Kelis has been looking…a little left of center, lately. I am all for rocking what makes one feel truly like themselves, but there is a fine line between Carrie Bradshaw and Boo Boo the fool. She toeing that line, ladies, she toeing that line.
