Keyshia Cole was in rare form at her concert in Columbus, Ohio Friday night. </sarcasm> After her fans waited 2 months to see her again since she cancelled this stop the first go round (on Jan 18th) on the Double Up Tour, she gave them a big, hefty, less than 30 minute performance. Too bad her performance was supposed to be closer to 2 hours.
A loyal YBF reader sent in her recount of the night and this ish wasn’t pretty. Apparently the crowd had to wait 2 hours for Princess Keyshia to finally hit the stage. Plies was her opening act (problem number 1 I’m sure) and for 2 hours the hosting radio station put on a stalling act. The reason being was that Plies never showed up and Keyshia was still backstage throwing a hissy about her sound check sounding f’ed up. And y’all know Key Key isn’t doing that opening business for no one–not even for herself. The crowd was informed that Plies missed his flight and Keyshia would come out soon (2 hours late that is). She performed for 7 minutes, left the stage for no reason, then came back on for another 20 minutes to perform. And how did she end her show? By talking about how much she’s caked up and addressing the rumors floating around about her. The YBF concert-goer recaped:
I guess people have been saying that she is pregnant, so she was letting us know that it is not true. She let us know that she is doing a movie about her life, that she shot her video for Heaven Sent, she has her songs with Trina and Jaheim, etc. Next she says that she doesn’t know what happened to Plies. She asks the staff over on the side of the stage what happened and they tell her that he missed his flight. She seemed a little pissed, and said, “Well, I love my n*ggas so I am going to make sure I show up, plus I stayed caked up, so I’m going to do what I gotta do.” So ghetto. [People on the] other side of the stage tell her that he has arrived. So she straight up gives us the deuces and says “Alright ya’ll, well I guess Plies is here, I’m out!” And that was all we got for our average of $60 per ticket. A 30 minute show that was two months and two hours late!
Damn Key Key.

50 says he’s jacked his vote from Hillary and given it to Barack. A while back he was caught on video saying he was voting for Hillary because America wasn’t ready for a black President and they might just take it to Barack if he actually won. But now he says Senator Obama has won him over:
“I heard Obama speak,” he said. “He hit me with that he-just-got-done-watching-’Malcolm X,’ and I swear to God, I’m like, ‘Yo, Obama!’ I’m Obama to the end now, baby!”
Whatev 50. It just took you a few months to realize how ignorant your comment sounded.

The foolywang material that is Diddy’s mama Janice Combs and Keyshia Cole’s mama Frankie (who was spotted in the pic hitting up BET’s Spring Bling this weekend) needs to be addressed. But surely you can find some fierceness in one of them. It’s moms against moms.
WHO’S THE FIERCE KITTY?!

I don’t know what it is about this chick but she’s always making herself story worthy these days:

Mariah hit up Hotel George in Paris this weekend like she usually does for album promo purposes. She rocked a cropped leather Gucci jacket, an American Apparel mini dress, Alaia heels and Marc Jacobs shades. And leave it to her to make every candid shot a photoshoot opportunity. Chick really should teach a class to celebs on how to do that. Definitely cuts down on real photoshoot expenses. And now a new track off her upcoming album “Love Story” has hit the net in video form…

In extremely sad and shocking news, Sean Levert, brother of the late Gerald Levert and son of O’Jays singer Eddie Levert, died at 11:57p last night after being taken from his jail cell. Last week, we reported that he was jailed due to excessive back payments in child support and was sentenced to 22 months. But yesterday, reports say Sean complained of being sick. And after being transported to Lutheran Hospital from Cuyahoga County Jail, he died. This is extremely sad news as his brother Gerald also died a shocking death not too long ago. Our condolences and prayers go out to the Levert family.
UPDATE: The Levert family has put out this official statement:
There are no words that can express what we are feeling today. There is no song that can capture the loss that we have in our hearts. But we are humbly overwhelmed by the generous outpouring of love, condolences and support from the many friends, fans and admirers of our son Sean. At this very difficult time, we thank you for your prayers and hope you will understand our need for privacy.
