Beyonce Announces Her New Album+Akon’s “Tap That” Saga Continues
Beyonce is back and just like we’ve been saying for the past couple months, she is indeed set to drop her next album very soon. November 17th to be exact–per the official announcement today. I personally cannot wait. Beyoncé’s fans will get their first glimpse of the artist’s new album with the simultaneous release of two of the album’s key tracks — “If I Were A Boy” and “Single Ladies” — scheduled to impact radio on October 7th. The album is still untitled for now.
All songs on the album are co-written and co-produced by Beyoncé and she says this third studio album is her most personal, reflective and revelatory collection to-date. It’s B Season all over again so either get ready for the suffocation or embrace it. It is what it is. She along with anybody else who matters in music will be on Fashion Rocks! which airs tonight on CBS.
News on Akon and his new on stage drama with some ladies when you read the rest…
Apparently Akon has gone and gotten himself into yet another on stage doozy. While performing in Guyana recently, two women got on the stage, got too close to AKon, and he whacked them in the head and face. Video surfaced and people were extra pissy about it. But now a new video has surfaced showing what happened right after Akon hit them and he’s saying he didn’t do it on purpose. Basically it looks like he was trying to catch his balance. Out of curiosity, how do you need a break from someone you don’t like. Because if you don’t like them or their music, I would think you don’t listen to their music, you turn off the tv if their on it, you skip over blogs referencing them, and you wouldn’t buy magzine covers their on. So if you did all that you shouldn’t know too much about Bee. So how did she give you a headache if you tuned her out? No stan stuff…just curious.

You have a point there with Ashanti, Cassie and Ciara. But then again, I’m sure Elmo could come out with a CD and sell more units. SO….the whole “Second Coming of Beyonce” isn’t even really necessary. And despite Rihanna not being able to sing live (on SOME songs, I mean at times she does sound good)…you can’t knock her hustle. *runs in the corner*

Compared to Rihanna, Assie and Ciara..Ashanti is the “Aretha Franklin” to me. LOL. Rihanna is known for her fashion, Ciara dancing (like janet) and Assie just sucks a mena one lol!!!

Man, I have been reading this blog for the better part of a year now and have only made one comment (though I always skim by everyone else’s lol). I must say, I too am happy that B has a new CD coming out, but I assume that the people on here who think she is greatest gift to the music ‘game’ must be really young and way to young to recall real talent. I remember when Mary was the talk of the town for being unable to sing, now it’s a standard in the industry (ie Keyshia, Rih Rih - who is really not all that please stop sweating this chick, fashion, talent and looks, just stop). We need to do better people. What happened to real singers?? I too am happy that Brandy has a new CD coming out. There has got to be some diversity out there in the music industry, b/c what’s out now just STINKS in comparison to even the late 90’s, let alone the entire 90’s decade. Ohhh how I miss Deborah Cox, Tamia, Xscape, Monica, (the old) Mariah (snickers) H-Town, Public Announcement, Allure, shoot even Total and Aaliyah! I didn’t think we were arguing today. Today is actually going good.
I love Bee, I’m not even going to lie. She can do no wrong to me. I believe she is extremely talented, her vocals are unheard of…NO ONE has control of their voice like Bee. I know everyone is not going to agree with me and I respect that. I guess for me when I get upset when people try to dog her about her talent. You may not like her but a person can’t honestly sit and say she cannot sing. That’s my hangup and I’ll get mad about that. Now if someone says, oh I don’t like Bee just because, or her lacefronts, or her money, her man, her mother, her eyebrows, her dance moves, her acting…..I’m fine with that. Because that’s their opinion. But when it comes to the vocals, oh we gon argue period.

I’m not going to lie! when she came to Atlanta I took my sister to her concert(birthday present) she works her ass off on the stage and still hits her notes! what did scare me was the crazy fans that would have killed you in a second if you said anything bad about beyonce! i enjoyed the performance, but I would have never gone if it wasn’t for my little sister. I’m not going to lie! when she came to Atlanta I took my sister to her concert(birthday present) she works her ass off on the stage and still hits her notes! what did scare me was the crazy fans that would have killed you in a second if you said anything bad about beyonce! i enjoyed the performance, but I would have never gone if it wasn’t for my little sister. The whole Rih Rih thing! love to look at her, and her style is sick! I don’t like her vocal range, she does have a voice, but it’s nothing special! Now I loved Aaliyah too like everyone else. But I don’t think you could be realistically serious with that statement. She was a great talent, however her live vocals and performances were not her strong suits. Her songs were good, and we missed her when she left. But there would still be a Beyonce Knowles performing at the stellar quality that she does. When Aaliyah was out, Destiny’s Child was already out selling millions, and blowing people away with their vocals. Yes Beyonce went solo after Aaliyah died, but she has carved her own niche in the game, and has shown and proven why she is where she is at. Beyonce has stellar live vocals, whether performed on stage dancing hard, or in a studio. Beyonce’s stage presence and voice have put her in a league of her own really, whether you do like her or not. To say there would be no Beyonce Knowles when in fact she was a standout star in D.C..would be really reaching now. That’s just my opinion.

I’m not going to lie! when she came to Atlanta I took my sister to her concert(birthday present) she works her ass off on the stage and still hits her notes! what did scare me was the crazy fans that would have killed you in a second if you said anything bad about beyonce! i enjoyed the performance, but I would have never gone if it wasn’t for my little sister. She uses her voice, and still is able to come out in costume to wow the audience. Yet she also shows she can go on award shows, and just stand their and deliver the song. Let’s see the Oscars, when she performed three songs, and this years Oscars. The Grammy’s with Tina Turner, and last years Grammys where she stood their sick and just sang. On count down shows, and even the Today show there have been times where she just sat there. And you talk about a real live band on stage. Didn’t Beyonce have an ALL GIRL, twelve piece LIVE BAND on stage with her on a WORLD WIDE tour? Each of those people got a chance to shine as well.
I swear people have selective memory when it comes to Beyonce. Have we forgotten Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, James Brown (that long cape and his shiny outfits)..even Celine Dion who some mentioned(she’s not performing Vegas for nothing..that’s the city of lights and glamour). Alicia, Mary, Tamia, all create songs, that you want to hear over and over and over and over…they don’t have 2 appear almost naked in their performances to get their point across and to connect with the crowd.
