Queen’s ready to hit the music scene again after finishing the Secret Life of Bees movies. And she’s going back to her hip-hop roots. She tells the Rolling Stone about having LL and Dr. Dre work on the album:
“They pretty much did the whole album,” Latifah said. “My boy Kenny Flav did one track and I think might do two more. Missy [Elliott] and Swizz Beatz are the only two people I have left. But they’re mixing it right now.”
And she’s even got jokes about her possible album title saying she may name it “The L Word” just to mess with people’s heads and the lesbian “rumors”:
“L was gonna stand for love though or La,” she laughed. “Since people want to play games, I like to jab back sometimes just for fun, but I’m like, ‘Nah, that’s too much energy wasted.’ “

And Rihanna’s also gearing up for her fourth studio release. She recently did an interview where she dished the details about what it’s going to be like:

I’m not so sure about her fans deserting her, though. She’s gone so mainstream (which isn’t a bad thing) that there will always be someone interested in her style. And i think rihanna can sing, and sorry to burst your bubble but beyonce, and rihanna are tied for number 1 hits since the 00’s and Rihanna has more hits overall and billboard top 40’s. She is going on her 3rd album while Beyonce is on her third. And both of their last album sold around the same amount. So this notion this Beyonce is the Queen is not really true I love her too but lets be real its not true. We can praise Beyonce or anyone else without tearing down anyone else likewise we can talk about a female artist and not compare them to Beyonce. She loves to contradict herself. SMH And I know she didn’t “fight” for Disturbia because Breezy SAID he wrote the shit for her SEVERAL times. When the hell is her contract with Def Jam up? I’m tired of this madness. Four albums back to back in 4 years is fuckin’ ridiculous. Everybody else who stepped out on the scene in ‘05 are still on their SECOND album working on the third one. The only reason Beyonce took sometime off between solo projects, was because she had already ran herself ragged putting out albums continuously since she was part of destiny’s child. she did exactly what Rhianna is doing now which is pumping them out while your hot. When destiny’s child was out Bey did not take a break, those albums kept coming one after the other. That is how B was able to maintain her dominance, and easily transition into her solo gig. Don’t hate on RI RI when she is only trying to ride her wave of success. Truthfully if I were her, I would be doing the same thing.
