Plus I don’t liek it icy, I like it more watery so it’s like I’m having a cold cup of coffee. Oooooh I used to call it a Iced Frappabetes (diabetes). It was so bad the guy knew me and started making it before I ordered.

LOL. It’s cool. I have Graves Disease (an overactive thyroid) so I’m rather slim ( 5 ft 7 1/2 and 128 lbs) but I still HATE for people to deprive themselves of the food they enjoy. There’s nothing wrong with Starbucks or anything else. If you’re happy and healthy, then it’s all good. Everybody here is fabulous!!

Yeah when I’m real sick, that ish ain’t no joke! LOL I actually have to go see my Endocrinologist in 3 weeks so hopefully, my levels are on the lower end of normal. *crosses fingers*
Sidenote: At work, its our campaign week (we do fundraisers for United Way) and our HR lady came around and passed out our choice of treats: Chex mix, peanut butter crackers, or 4 different candy bars. Naturally, I picked the candy bar! LOL But I’m sayin’ it was a Reese’s, son!!

There’s the hot flashes, night sweats, jaundice, heart problems, muscle weakness, hand tremors, hair loss, and issues with your period. Oh and let’s not forget the really SEXY goiter and problems with your eye sight. Let’s top that off with possible thyroid cancer. I was on a damn beta blocker because of my elevated heart rate and I was in my early 20’s! Not everyone has all of the symptoms and I was lucky enough to only have a few. So NO you’re definitely NOT informed enough to make the comment you just made.

I love to make everything you mentioned…however, I haven’t made cornbread in a minute (except for when I make dressing…lol). I’m still trying to perfect my tata salad though. Everything else is on point.

People up here (in Chicago) just dont get down and dirty like at home. I want my thanksgiving dinner with all the fat, grease, seasoning…all that..no half stepping!
The first Thanksgiving I had here in Chicago was the worst. I almost died when I asked my ex’s mother if there was anything I could do to help her with the meal. She told me look in the cabinet and open some CANS of candy yams. I was like sweet potatos. In the can. For Thanksgiving.

But seriously, I just love the food so much. My family is from Jamaica so that’s my first choice when it comes to food but I can damn sure appreciate some soulful SOUL food. Especially when it’s made good. These days women don’t cook anymore and the older generation don’t feel like cooking (tired) so it’s so hard to get a good plate of food anymore and people just straight up losing their skills in the kitchen. I can’t tell you how many time I’ve had bad tata salad! WTF! How do you mess that up. And my mama makes her candied yams from scratch as in BUYS ACTUAL YAMS, not from the can (even tho I’ve had good candied yams from the can sshhh). And I extremely DESPISE candied yams w/ marshmallows. I know somebody gonna get mad, but that is SO W-A-C-K! It looks pretty and tastes like shit!

Girl, I’m 27 and I cannot get down with the soul food restaurants because I can fix that at the house. I’m so used to cooking it myself or when I go home my family getting down with it. I’mma have that tata salad right by Thanksgiving though…lol. The yammallow is okay but nothing like those yams cut up and hooked up from scratch. My husband (whom ever he will be) will have a hot meal on a regualr…I’m cooking in the kitchen in the bedroom!

And I extremely DESPISE candied yams w/ marshmallows. I know somebody gonna get mad, but that is SO W-A-C-K! It looks pretty and tastes like shit!

Well he will be a very happy (and lucky) man. That’s why I’m practicing my cooking skills to. I like trying everything from Carribean dishes, soul food, Italian (I make a bangin shrim pasta), and even quick stuff. I want my (hopefully) future husband to feel entertained by the selection of different and exotic dishes I prepare for him before he gets home. Gosh, that’s what I want to tell a mofo sometime. If you treat me right you will eat and sleep right!

It shouldnt matter whether you are big or small…as long as YOU are comfortable in your own skin. No one else’s opinion should matter. I prefer to be between a size 8-10 and workout because my family has a history of diabetes..not because society thinks I’m overweight..to hell with society and what they think…tell society get off their asses and find a cure for Cancer/AIDS/Lupus…then they can tell me how much I should weigh!

Well I am 42 DD…so even at my smallest which is like an 8, I’ve always been top heavy. I can lose weight realy fast when I want to, but to honest I dont really want to lose weight And yes I have a little one liter to go with the breast, but oh well! LOL!I really cant lose my breast(and I dont want to). So I surely say to hell with what society thinks.
My man likes it and that’s all that matters.

Well I am 42 DD…so even at my smallest which is like an 8, I’ve always been top heavy. I can lose weight realy fast when I want to, but to honest I dont really want to lose weight And yes I have a little one liter to go with the breast, but oh well! LOL!I really cant lose my breast(and I dont want to). So I surely say to hell with what society thinks.

Well I am 42 DD…so even at my smallest which is like an 8, I’ve always been top heavy. I can lose weight realy fast when I want to, but to honest I dont really want to lose weight And yes I have a little one liter to go with the breast, but oh well! But seriously, I just love the food so much. My family is from Jamaica so that’s my first choice when it comes to food but I can damn sure appreciate some soulful SOUL food. Especially when it’s made good. These days women don’t cook anymore and the older generation don’t feel like cooking (tired) so it’s so hard to get a good plate of food anymore and people just straight up losing their skills in the kitchen. I can’t tell you how many time I’ve had bad tata salad! WTF! How do you mess that up. And my mama makes her candied yams from scratch as in BUYS ACTUAL YAMS, not from the can (even tho I’ve had good candied yams from the can sshhh). AND, I really don’t have a problem with the size of the people that I named (except for Monique… I just don’t like her) but I get so tired of people on this site thinking that’s it is okay to make negative comments about slim/thin people, but heavy people are off limits! A size 12 is definitely not obese (I doubt if any of the people that I named is that size) but neither is a size 6 anorexic. Even the most tolerate person tends to fight back after so much abuse.
