I was on another message board and people were saying how they are sick of Beyonce. I’m not a Beyonce fan, but honestly I blame her dad. I think he is obsessed with her career and will do anything to make sure she shines. I think less is more, but the Knowles camp thinks more is more. She really needs to take a long break. If she plays Eartha and gets nominated for an Oscar I fear there will be a great backlash.

i’ll admit, beyonce is very talented! i’m not tryna take away from her fierceness! the woman is bad! but my thing is… why is she continuously (allegedly) accepting roles of women in the same industry as she; women who have a story similar to hers as far as making their mark in & on the ‘bidness’?! i understand paying homage to those who’ve paved the way, but how is she going to grow as an actress? i love you beyonce, but come harder! accept a role more challenging!

I just recently saw the movie, and I don’t understand why Jennifer got the Oscar..her and Beyonce did about the same level of acting..But Oscar voters likes stereotypical black roles..Denzel-Bad Cop, Halle-poor mulatto who sleeps with a white man, Hattie McDaniels..fat black maid…

Wow is Beyonce the new Angela Bassett? Playing every singer on the face of the earth because she can sing? Puh lease. Beyonce will be a TERRIBLE and I mean TERRIBLE Eartha Kitt. Eartha Kitt is in a class of her own and Beyonce will do no justice to the role. She is not tiny enough..Eartha had tiny curves, and Beyonce is too damn Southern.
