I don’t like them. I was expecting better. I guess the second one is okay. But, did anyone see Entertainment tonight. Beyonce latest video dance moves was jacked from an old school girls group. Beyonce did the exact moves step by step, but in a black bathing suit. Beyonce seems to be doing alot of hijacking these days. lol Got to love anyhow.

In an interview on 106 & Park…Beyonce said that her vid was inspired by Bob Fosse…a late choreographer. He was responsible for the routine in the old school girls group in which you are referring to, and she was simply paying homage. If you look at both vids, you see a few similarities, but Bey definitely flipped it to her style. So…she did not jack anything

As you get older your mind mature…and its obvious that Bey has grown from a creepy crawling catapillar to a beautiful butterfly. I love that her album covers are simple and elegant. You don’t have to over do things to get your point across. I have read blogs over and over about her being Sasha on the stage and so many negative comments about that. I totally understand where she is coming from at work I go by my first name and my attitude is totally different from who I am when I walk out of my office doors. You have to be able to adapt to different environments and all for that. Keep em’ Bey…do you!

I posted this comment on another site about beyonce and I have to say it again. I really don’t understand the love/hate thing with Beyonce.
Its just really ridiculous how much time people spend discussing people they don’t like or know personally. Beyonce is an entertainer, period. She is not curing cancer or running for president. So, it’s really not this serious.
Everyone keeps saying she jacked this person and that person. Hate to break it to you, but there is absolutely nothing new under the sun, everything has been done before. She hasn’t done anything that other artist don’t do regularly. The difference is people hold her to higher standard then other artists. They except some sort of perfection from her, which is unfair. When you at the top of your profession, there is tremendous pressure to stay there. She has to be feeling it from all sides (husband, parents, media, record label, and herself). That would make any one come off “desperate” ( someone said this in another blog). We all want Beyonce to reach her potential and come out with a classic album. But, that will not happen until she is mature enough to do her and not try to please everyone.
The pictures show a more natural Beyonce. Which people have been asking for from her for like forever, so what’s the problem? Another reason why she shouldn’t listen to people, because they are never satisfied. Personally, I prefer this cover over the Bday cover any day.

in all honesty what is with celebrity with this two persona or two different personality? First, Janet Jackson now Beyonce. Why do you need you to name the other side of yourself, wouldn’t it still be you? I don’t get it or maybe I’ am thinking to hard…lol. Just to let you know. What you said makes NO SENSE at all. So Alicia Keys was paying homage and Beyonce was “jacking”. When Beyonce clearly stated that it was an homage to Fosse and his work. There are some Fosse dance moves in the Single Ladies video, but there is also fresh and new choreography used as well. That would mean all dancers are jacking, because how many times have you seen the same type of movements put to another sequence to create fresh choreography? A.Keys took the exact story line out of School Daze, and that’s homage but not jacking? People have double standards when it comes to Beyonce I admit, but it’s not the fans. Just look at how you gave a pass to A Keys for “homage”..by using the same storyline, costumes, hair do’s, everything as School Daze.. and say Beyonce is jacking when she pays homage to Fosse by using his style of dance, and parts of the Mexican Breakfast Routine but completely having different choreography as well. It doesn’t make sense. Double standards as always.

As for the covers, I think they show a different side of Beyonce. Either way she would have gone with it, there would have been criticism. When she had lacefronts on and was doing a lot of glamour shots people had trouble with that. When she’s stripped down the same ones want makeup, and say something about her roots. lmao. Some don’t know what they want from her at all.
But I love the covers. As for the Sasha Fierce photos, there was one recently released that I saw elsewhere. It was a top notch photo that was spot on with this side of her. She was in the spikey ballet boots, in a crazy pose. I’m suspecting those might be on the inside of the book or something. So either way I wouldn’t take what’s on here to be all inclusive of what it to come. That’s just my guess.

This is something I was confused about initially. But these are two covers for ONE album. I believe both covers are for I Am. One for the regular edition and one for the deluxe addition which will have two seperate c.d’s. The regular edition will just be one c.d with 11 tracks with a mixture of the ballad songs and upbeat songs. The other one will have two distinct c.d’s. I think the inside of the books will have the distinct looks for each side of her. The cover is just I guess like a blank canvas..that of who she is. If that makes n e sense. lol

does anyone else get the impression that this whole biopolar (because in the real world it’s not cute…it’s mental illness), double cd is poorley marketed? Which is odd, because Matthew Knowles is usually up on that. It seems like there’s a great plan….but the correct marketing isn’t there for it. Hardley anyone knows of/gets the whole Sasha Fierce thing (personally I think adding the “fierce” doesn’t help, its just odd and not needed). And on top of that there’s a website dedicated to Sasha….but it’s not marketed well. Instead of dressing like Solange on TRL and 106, she should have been wearing a “Who is Sasha Fierce” shirt or given “who is sasha fierce” poster for the audience to hold up…SOMETHING that lets us know why we should all of a sudden care about Sasha. And both of these cd covers don’t help to answer the question of WHY dedicate an album to the split personalities theme and WHY NOW. We’ve already met Sasah, we’ve already me Beyonce. Tell us what is so different about them at this point in your life to dedicate an entire album to them. I’m thinking someone in marketing dropped the ball on this one. It’s a great idea, but it will never work if it’s not promoted by the artist and not marketed well.

There aren’t too many cds that come with more than 12 songs nowadays because too many people download cds and singers/rappers/musicians are not getting paid like they should. They are not selling records like they did back in the day. Therefore, with the standars of music today with all of the downloading, 17 songs is a double cd honey!

Ok so Blue can’t read. Let me break it down step by step…baby.
Let me tell you something about tapes, since you don’t know, or weren’t smart enough to figure it out back then(you seem after all, to be a huge weavee fan).
There were tapes, then there were blank tapes. If you had a stereo with a double deck what would stop you from dubbing one song from Weavee’s tape onto that blank tape you bought from the corner? NOTHING! I did it, my brothers did it and so did my friends. So if you weren’t bright enough “back then” and you bought every tape you ran into because you didn’t know there were ways around it, I’m sorry.
And if you’re claiming to be so old I also think you might need to go back to school. What part of my argument indicated anything about my age? There aren’t too many cds that come with more than 12 songs nowadays because too many people download cds and singers/rappers/musicians are not getting paid like they should. Let me tell you something about tapes, since you don’t know, or weren’t smart enough to figure it out back then(you seem after all, to be a huge weavee fan).
There were tapes, then there were blank tapes. If you had a stereo with a double deck what would stop you from dubbing one song from Weavee’s tape onto that blank tape you bought from the corner? NOTHING! I did it, my brothers did it and so did my friends. So if you weren’t bright enough “back then” and you bought every tape you ran into because you didn’t know there were ways around it, I’m sorry.
And if you’re claiming to be so old I also think you might need to go back to school. What part of my argument indicated anything about my age?
