Basically it seemed like the video showed how he got to the top (chasing the paper), but in reverse. B/c how he’s saying at the beginning, you never know what you have to go through to get to where you’re going. So he shows us his story.
It seems (going from ending to the beginning of the actual video) he came in as T.I.P. going to the guy for money to get PSC off the ground (b/c notice they flash to the cd demo in the porch scene and he has it in his hand as he goes over to talk to the dude at the end of the video). Then we are to assume he gets to the top b/c you now see him as T.I. in his business suit. We see him tell the guy he’s done b/c he’s gotten to where he’s trying to go and gives him a suitcase full of money. This explains the rest of the video, b/c apparently dude didn’t want to hear that so when T.I. leaves the club he has his goons (which they also show as he’s walking in the club as T.I.) go stop him in the alley and beat him up. Then they put him in the car, drive off somewhere and dump him. Which is why in the beginning of the video we see him in the car with them and then see him walking as he talks. This connects back to the end of the video, you see him raising his hands in victory, b/c he’s accomplished.

This is the hottest song. I love it even though I hate T.I.’s rap style. He doesn’t ride the beat enough for me or hit hard enough not really sure. But I think Rihanna’s hook and the opening makes it hot. I agree with one of the other commenters that I miss her Bajan accent too so it was good to hear on the song. umm…okay then. Two months and i been waiting on this damn video but i am really really disappointed. it aint cute, it aint hot. it just SUCKS. its just so typical of those two:
*TI: the whole suit and TI vs TIP thing (he done that last album let it go now honey. You’re sexy and all but nah).

Haven’t seen the video myself yet, but I’ve been hearing from alot of people that the video makes no sense. The storyline is hard to follow!

Wow, I was actually impressed with this video and song. Also after watching him on Tyra I get the whole change now. God bless dude for trying to do better for himself and realizing the path he has to take to do it. For folks that don’t get the video, listen to what he’s saying, it makes perfect sense.

It seems (going from ending to the beginning of the actual video) he came in as T.I.P. going to the guy for money to get PSC off the ground (b/c notice they flash to the cd demo in the porch scene and he has it in his hand as he goes over to talk to the dude at the end of the video). Then we are to assume he gets to the top b/c you now see him as T.I. in his business suit. We see him tell the guy he’s done b/c he’s gotten to where he’s trying to go and gives him a suitcase full of money. This explains the rest of the video, b/c apparently dude didn’t want to hear that so when T.I. leaves the club he has his goons (which they also show as he’s walking in the club as T.I.) go stop him in the alley and beat him up. Then they put him in the car, drive off somewhere and dump him. Which is why in the beginning of the video we see him in the car with them and then see him walking as he talks. This connects back to the end of the video, you see him raising his hands in victory, b/c he’s accomplished.

This video was sooo good. If you watch you will see a split screen of tl in regualar clothes then in a suit, he makes a cd and knows he has succeeded then he tells them that he wants out because his cd is done, you see him playing and winning money, you see him being beat up which ultimatly leads to them letting him out. He gives them money to let him out but still they beat him up to protect their reps. He keeps the cd close to him, because that is his ticket. you see him making the cd in a crappy studio, he hasnt made it yet, but you can tell he is going to, he is doing different things to win money to get out before he makes something of the cd because he doesnt want them to have any claim over the money.
