I know I am all late with this conversation but I had to add my 10 cents.
1. There is no flattery here! You should have shut that down right on the spot. Be glad those heifers spoke their mind! Out of the fullness of the heart, the mouth speaks be thankful that they revealed themselves. Even if a friend feels that her girl’s man is hotter than midday in August, she keeps her trap (both of them) shut, tight! It is disrespectful. It is tacky. It is inappropriate.
2. What’s there to be nervous about? He is YOUR dude until you decide you don’t want him anymore. Keep them ALL at arms length! Do not share anymore of your business with them because you would be giving them amunition, if one or all of them decided they wanted to test the waters. Do not have them over to your house, Starbucks got chairs, congretate over there!
