Michelle O. The Fashionista: Her Victory Dress & Inauguration Dress
Michelle Obama looked fabulous in her banded red and black ombre “victory” dress last night. The designer is Narciso Rodriguez and it’s straight off the runway from the Spring 2009 collection. Designers have been throwing runway specialties her way for several months now. Just one of the perks of being First Lady.
We’ve also learned from Atlanta Gossip that Mrs. O got a jump start on her Inauguration dress plans last week. She already tapped famed African American NY designer Cassandra Bromfield to custom make her Inauguration dress. I’m not even mad at her early optimism. Anyways, we’re told the dress will be one of a kind. Cassandra is considered one of today’s top Black Fashion Designers for Social Gowns, Wedding Dresses, Afrocentric Bridal Gowns, and African American designer social occasion dresses. Hot.

YES!! I didn’t get back in the house until about 3:00 this morning. I dropped by Adams Morgan for like 10 minutes. The streets were so crowded, and it was a whole lotta drunken banana’s walking around. I went downtown and skipped by the White House too!

I was listening to the radio today and a woman was like all the white people are upset. Not true at all. Without white people voting this wouldnt have been possible. faith in our collective voice: when we stick together and stand up for
something like we did on November 4th, there is nothing that we cannot
achieve! As I stood in line at the polls, I saw people voting that I
never thought I’d see at the polls: baby favas, baby movas, drive by
shooters, rappers, gothic mimes, DJ’s, strippers, atheists, busboys,
and even internet models. Today I want everyone to speak, wave, or at
least give a head nod to every brother and sister that you see, and to

You know sometimes you just need a way to vent, get out what you are thinking and feeling. This is my way. I actually write them better (I think) then I say them. I was so glad last night when all of us, black, white, asian, spanish, preppy, hood, ghetto, uppity we were ALL outside together showing love and hugging, drinking, singing and chanting O-BA-MA together.
