Diddy Ciroc’d the vote and threw a huge birthday and election day bash at Mansion in NY on Tuesday night:

His good friend Jay-Z made an appearance. On the gossip tip: I hear Oprah told both of them not to show up to the major Inauguration Balls because this “wasn’t about them”. How funny is that coming from Lady O?

His friends Common, Pete Wentz, Dallas Austin, and his son Quincy were all there looking dapper.
EDIT: I’m WELL aware Quincy is not Diddy’s biological son–as I have talked about Quincy and his bio father Al B. Sure on this site several times. However, Diddy refers to Quincy as his son and Quincy to Diddy as his dad as well. So I will do the same.

Y’all already know Diddy’s lil boo Cassie was there. On the gossip tip: My snitches at Q-Tip’s party…which went down that same night…say Diddy and Cassie made an appearance there too. And they definitely weren’t trying to hide a damn thing. Mmmhmmm….

Keyshia Cole did her fav pose on the black carpet. I want her to practice it a bit more though.

Y’all already know the T’s were in full effect.

And Mary J kicked it with Ben Stiller. Fun times and Diddy got his birthday wish of America electing Sen. Obama as President. Hot.
Lots more pics from the bash when you read the rest…

Ben Stiller cracks me the hell up.

Mary was there looking pretty nice as she brought her hubby Kendu along.

Cedric kicked it with Ice and CoCo-T.

Looks like the Election Results had just rolled in.

Oh, hey there Cassie. I’m un-surprised to see you here.

I am loving Keyshia’s old Hollywood glam look. A lot going on with her dress but I kinda love it. Sue me.

I see I wasn’t the only one poppin’ champagne Tuesday night.

Ne-Yo and his mystery lady *snickers* that’s always hanging around were spotted getting kissy inside the party.

Out on the black carpet–Wrecksi showed her face.

Taraji showed up in an interesting dress coat.

Her ex Common was looking good.

Awww.

Looks like memorable and fun times indeed.

I don’t mean no harm, I love Keisha Cole, but in one of those pics she is looking right pasty, and that pose needs work, but otherwise she looks fab, and last but not least Cassie’s wrap or whatever makes her look like she got some sort of big bird thing going on.

although Oprah might have said that, or not, i did like how she handled things throughout this election. she endoresed him way back when, stuck by it, stuck to her guns to not have ANY Presidential candidates, including the VP’s (i.e. the Maverick Palin…hehe) on her show and then when it was time, Nov. 4th–there she was, and then yesterday on her show–total devotion to our new BLACK president.
lol, on other sites they were talking about boycotting TV and the media and her show–yeah, like that is happening.
oh and sorry tash, i did post a link the other day about Pres Elect Obama–it was a video showing ppl around the world that were for him–very moving, if i may add–however, u r right, ur rules do say no links….

over here in PA…besides the sec who said something to me about working yesterday (which i did absolutely nothing) no one really said anything. there is one other blk woman in my office area (not the whole bldg) and we had our chat. but u know, what is weird, is, as the day was going on, ppl were quiet here too. then my one coworker, who i could never tell who she was for, came out and told me her mom voted for Obama. i was like cool. then she said, so did my dad and me. she is like 45. i was like, wow, u did…had no clue. when we talked beforehand daily, she never said so i leaned her more towards Mccain. good to know she went Obama.
but as i’ve said before, i knew there were more white ppl outwardly saying Maccain to look good to their white counterparts, when really, they went in there and voted for Obama. so i take this quietness as them either pissed the hell off inside, or totally for Obama from the gate and just don’t want to admit it.

I’m still a little on the fence about Jay and Diddy being told not to come It is a free country, right? What did she think they would do?
Keshia Cole has a ton a moake-up on and should serve as an example to women who get those big ugly tats. It always takes away from the “class act” vibe. Plus I believe the rumors about her having a stank attitude. She just looks hood and not in the good way.

I hate Taraji’s coat…
and Common looks gorgeous. All in all, everyone looks like they had a good time. Especially Mary and Ben Stiller (Fokker..lol!)
Last but definitely not least, Chilady would like to congratulate the new First Family!!

I love Oprah but if she really said that she has some nerve. I think they have enough sense to not make it about them they came out in support for him as well as she did. Who the hell told her she was Mrs. Obama. The nerve anyway Cassie got it going on why should they hide their relationship he’s single they can do them. I’m not sure why Keisha Cole is standing like that its a little weird but i love her.

I empathize and sympathize. my company is closing on December 31st and its closing due to mis-management and under-qualified people in positions out of their league. However, he not only made history for me but that was even more confirmation and affirmation that everything the Word says is true. However, I look at things in the spirit. 8 is the number of new beginnings. This company closing is an opportunity for me to venture out and do something that I might not have done if I was complacent with this corner office and position at work. This may be an opportunity for someone to open up a business, spend more time with their children, spend more time with their family or just spend more time with God to see what He wants them to do. I’ve been interviewing with companies…but I am not going to apply or take just anything. I have a degree, getting ready to go to grad school if the Lord is willing, I have a severance package and unemployment checks and a little savings so if I don’t have a new job to go to come January 1st I’m okay. I prayed about the situation and let God do His work, and I am now in a position at a Company that I know was only God’s doing. when people ask me how i got the job, I tell them God. :) I know he will do the same for you. Dang we got CEOs YBFin! Gon girl!
People in my office are acting like NOTHING even happen so to me that is weird when weeks ago they could NOT STOP pumping the MCCAIN fist all up in thru here…and I am the only African american up in here…but you know what…NOBODY is taking this moment away from me!!! i never felt so good in my life!!!!!I find it real odd though that people still can’t face facts and acknowledge that we have elected our FIRST AFRICN AMERICAN PRESIDENT!!! They can hate all day and all night..life is good!! :) :) OBAMA!!
over here in PA…besides the sec who said something to me about working yesterday (which i did absolutely nothing) no one really said anything. there is one other blk woman in my office area (not the whole bldg) and we had our chat. but u know, what is weird, is, as the day was going on, ppl were quiet here too. then my one coworker, who i could never tell who she was for, came out and told me her mom voted for Obama. i was like cool. then she said, so did my dad and me. she is like 45. i was like, wow, u did…had no clue. when we talked beforehand daily, she never said so i leaned her more towards Mccain. good to know she went Obama.
but as i’ve said before, i knew there were more white ppl outwardly saying Maccain to look good to their white counterparts, when really, they went in there and voted for Obama. so i take this quietness as them either pissed the hell off inside, or totally for Obama from the gate and just don’t want to admit it.
Well I am in PA ( PHILLY) and ppl outside of work were all about Obama…but i know for a fact that my office is MCCAIn except for me and my one co worker that I am cool with…I take that back there are 3 of us for Obama..everyon else was riding the McCan’t bus…but you know it’s whatever..I NEVER talk politics at work or barley with friends because things could get UGLY!! I have always encouraged ppl to vote though…But clearly I could see the saltiness as people walked by my desk yesterday morning…I also felt everyone looking at me like “YUCK” or “Damn I bet she is happy”…And i am happy and proud to be African American and just absorb every minute of this and one day I can tell my kids how we made history…it feels AMAZING!!!I am still on that OBAMA HIGH!!! WE DID IT!!

In my office, there are possibilities of layoffs. We celebrated Obama’s win then we returned to the real world. Our jobs are in jeopardy. Obama has a guaranteed job for 4 yrs. plus lifetime benefits. Sad to say, the joy from this election has worn off. I’m glad he made history but I got my own problems to deal with.
I empathize and sympathize. my company is closing on December 31st and its closing due to mis-management and under-qualified people in positions out of their league. However, he not only made history for me but that was even more confirmation and affirmation that everything the Word says is true. I overheard someone say that I smile too much and I’m always happy despite the fact that as of Dec. 31st i won’t have a job. I can remember a couple a years ago this time I didn’t know how I was going to pay my rent, God made a way then and he’ll make a way now. I just praise God for continually being Jehovah Jirah in my life when I don’t even deserve it. He looks after me even when I am frivolous with his resources.
I really hope that yall aren’t tired of me bringing God up in everything but I just want to encourage others as others have encouraged me. I mean, a setback is just a setup for something greater. God has to irritate you to get you to move; shake you up to prune those dead leaves (situations) from your life to make room for what He is about to do.
Love yall and I won’t get on my soap box no more today :)
I will definitely pray for you. I was in the same situation at the end of 2007. My office closed and i was tryign to take any job so I would have an income and ended up not getting any of him. I prayed about the situation and let God do His work, and I am now in a position at a Company that I know was only God’s doing. when people ask me how i got the job, I tell them God. :)
I know he will do the same for you. Pray abou tit nd let it go, but you have to do your part b/c faith without works is dead.
Well that is definitely true God helps those who help themselves.

Who is Oprah to tell them they can’t come. They played a large role in getting the youth and hip hop votes and without some of those votes especially in battleground states like Florida then Obama may not have won so I think Diddy and Jay need to be all up in that place if they want to. They worked for it. She can go sit down on that note.

More than likely Oprah didn’t say that. As others have posted above, another rumor is that Obama’s campaign asked them not to attend the festivities as Grant Park. Celebs always attend inaugurations as they are the only ones that can afford to. Don’t believe everything you read on here
Thu, November 6, 2008 10:41 AM
Concerning it being ok for Brad Pitt to be there vs. other celebrities like Diddy…Brad Pitt was not on TV talking about if Barack won, it will be because of him. Would you really trust Diddy to show up and NOT make a spectacle (sp) of himself? I don’t think he can help himself.
As far as the inauguaration (sp), what I have heard was that people such as The Carters, Diddy, Mary J., and other celebrity supporters will be invited to that, so we will have to see.

Ummm…that Oprah rumor is NOT true. GO to the CNN website. They have the REAL story. I read it yesterday. It was an Obama campaign aide that told Diddy and Puff that they should stay away from the Obama Celebration in Grant Park in Chicago on the night of the election because the Obama Campaign wanted the only “star” present to be Obama. But people were tripping because Oprah was at the celebration in Grant Park. So, on the “gossip tip,” this rumor is FALSE!

More than likely Oprah didn’t say that. As others have posted above, another rumor is that Obama’s campaign asked them not to attend the festivities as Grant Park. Celebs always attend inaugurations as they are the only ones that can afford to. Don’t believe everything you read on here
I don’t agree, if that is the reasoning behind it then I think with Obama making history & promoting CHANGE then he should change old time political thinking & the “good old boys” ways of the world. Everyone played a part in getting him elected, from Oprah to the hip-hop/R&B community to the person on the street corner who registered people & people who volunteered their times at the phone bank. Yes Oprah raised millions, but regular folk raised millions for him too, everyone that went on his website & bought a t-shirt, pen, coffee mug helped him raise money. I don’t think it would be a downgrade at all. I would think that it would prove that he is the President of & for ALL people.

The Oprah Rumor is FALSE!!! Here is the REAL story from the CNN website!!
——————————–
The Obama campaign has reportedly asked some of his famous supporters stay away from his rally Tuesday night in Chicago’s Grant Park, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Although the campaign is reportedly grateful for the high-profile support, several prominent celebs have reportedly been asked “politely but very firmly” to skip the rally and focus on attending the Obama inauguration in January, should that occur.
An Obama insider reportedly told the newspaper’s Bill Zwecker that Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins and Ben Affleck were among those asked to stay away from tonight’s festivities.
“There really only needs to be one star in Grant Park, and that’s Barack,” the insider reportedly said. “There will be plenty of time for a new President Obama to be surrounded by famous fans, all hopeful about a new administration.”
However, the paper reported that early Obama supporter Oprah Winfrey is confirmed to make an appearance at the rally in Grant Park. It is also expected that Winfrey will be with Obama as well as his family and inner circle throughout the night at their hotel in Chicago.
As the paper said, “No one says no to Oprah!”
I don’t think Oprah said that, now if it were 50 cent maybe. I know I would not want Diddy there though, I am tired of seeing him. I am taking my kids to the inauguration. My son’s b-day is the 17, so we are going to visit friends in the DC area, I can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-
Keyshia looks cute but what kind of pose is she doing. She looks like she is about to squat to take a piss on a public toilet.
-
Where is my girl Bey? She is probably out on the promo and not partying.
-
Boo at Cassie and Diddy. I think Kim and her oldest son (the one at this party) know about Diddy and Cassie. That’s why Kim didn’t come to this party and that’s why we haven’t seen pics of Kim and Diddy. Kim knows she is ONLY the baby mama and nothing more.
Thank you! I’ve been trying to tell them that! Don’t believe everything they read on these blogs!
You are welcome girl!!! I get my celebrity entertainment from the blogs but when I want real news (especially political) I try to hit up the news websites like CNN. Its a shame how some of us get all of our gossip and “news” from celebrity GOSSIP blogs! They know good and well Oprah wouldn’t say no crap like that.
Eaxtly! She’s just as happy as the rest of us! Celebs are at inaugration festivities every year anyway! They’re the only ones that can afford it! Besides, it would have nothing to do with Oprah, so why would she say it, or more importantly, why would they listen to her, in regards to Pres. O’s inauguration? I agree with everything you said about news sites vs. gossip sites as well
Thu, November 6, 2008 11:00 AM
This is the real story about the “Oprah rumor.” I think I posted it earlier but I don’t see it. Did Tasha ban me? This isn’t a link. Don’t be mad at me Tasha but I don’t want folks to get the wrong idea about my girl Oprah. It was the Obama campaign…not Oprah.
———————-
The Obama campaign has reportedly asked some of his famous supporters stay away from his rally Tuesday night in Chicago’s Grant Park, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Especially the (YT folks) even my teacher was talking about how she couldn’t believe he won. I just sat there and listened to them rant and rave because to me I got the real victory. Even though I did want to say something but I didn’t.
They probably wanted you to say something too. Don’t ever let someone take away your voice, but say it in an intelligent way. I’mma tell you I saw this young man(10 yrs old) from Atlanta on TV today actually getting choked up and crying because he now felt that anything is possible. It was a beautiful thing to see. And he stood up in his class and said it.
But to me it didn’t even matter because they just have to deal with the defeat. They did teach me though that McLame supporters are DEFINITELY some HATERS and can’t stand it. You better believe it on monday though I will be rocking my OBAMA shirt just so they can see it.

Morning my YBF family!!!!!
Massa dun put his foot in my back so I have to actually work today. I mean I haven’t done anything since Monday so I think It’s only fair.
And as far as the YBF chatroom, I actually think it’s a good idea. I mean the FAM (and you know if you are a part of the FAM) only comment once about the post then we have our own conversations about whatever. So maybe we could take our convos there. That way we don’t have to deal with so many haters and outsiders.
They only comment on what WE(the FAM)say anyways.
Just food for thought.
Good morning and I agree especially since I don’t have a page on “the space”. I’d love to keep in touch with you guys w/o the haters and extra comments. And your name is KILLING ME! LOL
Morning FAM. I checked and I can’t get in the actual chat room but if the FAM wants to comment in the chat room comment section I think it’s fair game.
I’m about to change my name to (on STRIKE from Rainy until she makes me a YBF Aunty!!!)

Funny how alot of these celebrities including Diddy wanted Hilary instead of Barack to win the Primaries. They cited the same answer those who can’t back up their opinions say “He doesn’t have the experience”. I remember 50 cent, Diddy, and other rappers stating they wanted Hilary Clinton even after her and Bill attacked him on so many levels other than the issues. I have no respect for bandwagon jumpers who wait to see who is in the lead to then choose a side. Love Oprah!!! She didn’t feel the need to constantly post youtube videos and mention Baracks name whenever there was a camera in front of her or just to get one in front of her. I would love for them to tell me a few things President Elect Barack Obama stands for other than “he is for the people”. I remember in my former office me and a coworker were campaigning for Obama from the beginning and the other blacks in the office looked like they wanted to crawl under their desks. Instead of offering a reason why they were for or against him they said the dumb answer “I’m not voting for that man JUST because he’s black” I’m like so you think all he has to offer is his race???? Listen to his ideas and plans and then ask yourself why or why not you wouldn’t vote for him. Of course most of the older white people were voting for McCain “Just because he’s white” but they wouldn’t dare say it.
Very true. You really can’t expect Diddy to not show up and not take an opportunity to make it about him!
He can’t even humble himself for a second to congratulate Obama…talking about, “I felt like my vote was the vote that put him in office…and that may not be true, but thats how much power I feel like I had!”

Ca is a very litigious state, “they” know better than to say something stupid to me and get sued. Our ancestors were victims of multiple disenfranchising provisions (literacy test, Grandfather clause of 1915, property ownership and poll taxes)designed to prevent “us” from voting up until the signing of the Voting Rights act in 1965, however Chinese IMMIGRANTS were granted voting rights in 1943. That’s just how much “they” feared the power of our vote, they had to constantly create and revise provisions to keep us away from the polls. Knowing that 40 years ago my grandparents had to pass a literacy test in order to vote and that today we have a BLACK MAN running this country makes me walk taller than my actual 5′2 status. I apologize for ranting but I had to get that off my chest today. DAMN it feels good to be black.
and why are people acting like or assuming all white people are mad. if it weren’t for the overwhelming white vote barack wouldn’t be president
Why are you ASSuming that “people” are acting like or assuming that all white people are mad. “People” read the paper & people watch the news so we know that Obama received somewhere around 43% of the White vote.

Who is Oprah to tell anyone where they should show up at, I’m pretty sure Diddy and Jay z realize it is not about them, its history and everybody has that right just like her to be apart of it, she needs to sit down now, she endorsed Obama and not only her vote got him into office.I truly feel that the actions Diddy and Jay Z took to encourage voter registration and voting by the youth helped this election so much….. I’m proud of them both just as I’m proud of myself, my daughter,my ,family, my neighbors, friends, strangers that took apart in this historic election…. Is Oprah handing out the invites or something. Sit down Oprah please sit down!!!!!
Thu, November 6, 2008 1:45 PM
i wonder if this little boy knows Diddy is his STEPdad? He always all up under Diddy, and refers to him as “his Dad”. You have a dad Quincy, own him!!! I do not like this little boy’s attitude, he needs to take it down a notch.
Thu, November 6, 2008 1:50 PM
I don’t think Oprah even said that shit. She is too damn busy to care about those two trying to come to a ball. Plus she’s had diddy on her show several times and Jay is married to Bey and she loves her. So it would stand to reason she would know they would be showing up together. No matter what some people think of them, they are still VERY wealthy business men, and I KNOW they are mature enough to understand the significance of this moment and would be outstanding guests at the ball or any other inaugural event. I’m confident of that cause they know if they did ANYTHING to embarass president Obama and the rest of us, we would woop their ass and never buy another damn CD or see any of Diddy’s movies(side eye at him being in movies, LOL)ever again! So I hope they show up and enjoy being a part of history!
Thu, November 6, 2008 1:56 PM
either way, regardless of who told whomever not to come to tuesday night’s celebrations they were wrong. If it had not been for Jay Z and Diddy and other celebrities, thousands of middle aged white women, young voters and other black voters would have gotten restless and took their butts home and just HOPED for a barack victory. We all have the right to be somewhere. No one is going to take the attention from Barack, he’s a world rock star. There is NO ONE who can take shine from him. The nerve of some people.
Sidebar- If i HEAR one more black person say we should paint the white house, BLACK… I’m going to grab my glock and shoot them. Let’s rejoice in our black people getting through the door, and stop with the foolishness.

THANK YOU FOR THIS. You never know how your testimony can touch/minister to someone else.
Love yall and I won’t get on my soap box no more today :)
now for my comment. I love Keyshia Cole. She’s naturally very attractive and can definitely sing…….listen to her first album. She looks like she’s had a little botox under the eye (or some EXCELLENT EYE CREME…not hating just an observation) which she doesn’t need; imperfection is beauty…
