Vanessa Simmons Is A Pageant Queen Wanna-Be?+Danity Kane Moves On As A Trio?
Vanessa Simmons is competing in the 2009 Miss California USA pageant. Her name and pic are listed on the official website. Her dad is pretty chummy with Donald Trump–who, of course, is the founder of the Miss USA pageants. As long as she doesn’t follow the typical scandalous pattern of most these pageant chicks–I’m all about it. Good luck V.
UPDATE: Vanessa is no longer competing in the Miss California USA 2009 pageant. She tells TheYBF.com, “I will be launching Pastry in the UK that weekend and my obligations as an actress have filled up for next year…I booked another film.” Well congrats to V anyway.

Vanessa said she would compete in the contest at the Essence Women’s conference here in DC. IDK she doesn’t strike me as a pageant type. I don’t get the hoopla over her looks. She not an unattractive girl, but no head turner. She does seem to be really sweet.

I heard about gun sales rising. They did a piece on it on Sunday on the news. However what they are saying the reason for the surge is because many people believe that Obama will be tough when it comes to gun control so people are buying guns before it becomes more difficult to purchase. I dont think there is a hidden meaning behind that. Most Americans obviously wanted Obama in office. I want Farrakhan to be more positive.

When positions are grant-funded. Is there a date when they know the funding is available. or is that established before you even interview or transfer for that position? Does the person lose their job when the grant runs out? or do they get another job in the agency? I know it’s alot to ask.

Good Question. I work for an agency and they received money from the city to start a new program within the agency. Once they got that money they started to hire people for the position. (I’m one of those people) Now what is going to happen if the city decides that the program is no longer needed I dont know. Some of the positions have been eliminated already and those people DID not get positions at the agency. Maybe it works differently depending on the organization itself.

LMAO! What you said was so true, mean but true. I used to stan for DK full time, I actually believed in them and would defend them when naysayers would tell me they’ll end up where the rest of Diddys acts do…off the face of the earth. I can’t even defend them anymore they’ve become a big joke. Diddy is an opportunist that exploits his artist all the while linning his already fat pockets.
He has no management skills whatsoever. He could’ve salvaged the group if he liked, but instead he pitted them against eachother for the world’s entertainment. Dawn was foolish to believe that he would ever take her solo career anywhere. If he can’t make money off of you then he’s not interested, and no offense Dawn but your voice can only take you so far. You need beauty and a desirable image to take you the rest, you have niether.
DK is nothing without the complete 5. This is not Destiny’s Child and it will not work again. Aubrey had a large fan base, if not the largest from the group. No one is checking for DK anymore, a lot of fans were dissapointed and will not be suckered into supporting them for Diddy’s financial gains.
