Burnt orange is my color! I love greens and blues, pinks and reds. I love to see people of color in bold colors and prints!

To all the Ladies who are trying to find the perfect dress for the holidays.
Price points from $68.00-98.00 BCBG Generation. You can find shops in the more upscale Macy’s (I know how Upscale can Macy’s be) You can also see the some of the dresses on Macy’s.com but they don’t have all of the selection.
Dillard’s carries the Sugar Lips collection. Its a great one of the kind line. Everytime I wear a piece from this line, I always get asked where did I get the dress from. They always use different fabrications and colorways. These dresses range from $59.00-100.00. You can always find them on sale though.
B.B. Dakota is a great line. I just wore a dress from B.B. Dakota this past weekend. Great fit and colors. $59.00-89.00. You can find the line at Macy’s also. I’ve also seen this line in Loehman’s and Marshalls.
I do live on the West Coast so Macy’s and Dillards have different assortments. Tell me what type of look and I’ll help you find it!

Aaaaah Mmschel black is sooooo boring. Being that you are light skinned, I think you should not do black at all. Don’t blend in. You should play w/ burnt orange-y, burgundy, greens, even a nice plum or eggplant purple colors would be cool. Oh yes, shimmery/metallic material (J Crew got some BANGIN skirts) would be nice too. Are you wearing these boots to your Christmas party?[/quote]

I tried on one by fumblin foe at a boutique like 2 weeks ago, but it didnt have the same fit and pleat at the waist like the others. Where can I find one. Weill i would have to say that my daughter is 5 and she gets her braided every 2 weeks like clock work since she was 3. her hair is in the middle of her back now. her hair is super thick and it keeps it extremly healthy. she wont be getting a perm until she a teen. maybe daughter has that thick hair as well.

I saw this hairstyle in the new Essence that I want to rock to a Christmas party. It looked like the hair was parted in the middle and a big curly fro hair piece was clipped on. It was gorgeous.

I know that French Connection had that jumper this past fall! I haven’t seen a tube jumper like that one. I can be on the look out for you though. I have seen a nice fitted tube dress that bubbles out at the bottom. (It was made of a soft wool) with some nice hosiery and some fashion booties. You can add to the look with nice jewelry and a half jacket or shrug.

Yeah, it’s a casual gathering at her home. It’s an eclectic mix of folks. She’s an oncologist from NY. Her hubby is white, but works for Vibe magazine via commute/computer. A couple of local top Artists (painters, etc), Professionals, and Business owners. It’s a lot of culture, music, politics, and drinks. No formality. But the outfit is key. It will come up in the circle of afro-females. :smile: *except for the artist folks- they don’t care.

Weill i would have to say that my daughter is 5 and she gets her braided every 2 weeks like clock work since she was 3. her hair is in the middle of her back now. her hair is super thick and it keeps it extremly healthy. she wont be getting a perm until she a teen. maybe daughter has that thick hair as well.[/quote]

You should play w/ burnt orange-y, burgundy, greens, even a nice plum or eggplant purple colors would be cool. Oh yes, shimmery/metallic material (J Crew got some BANGIN skirts) would be nice too. Aaaaah Mmschel black is sooooo boring. Being that you are light skinned, I think you should not do black at all. Don’t blend in. You should play w/ burnt orange-y, burgundy, greens, even a nice plum or eggplant purple colors would be cool. Oh yes, shimmery/metallic material (J Crew got some BANGIN skirts) would be nice too.
