Well look who was spotted shopping it up together at Westfield Mall in Century City, CA yesterday afternoon:

Several months ago Tyrese proposed to his baby’s mother Norma at her baby shower–which Brandy actually hosted. But Brandy and Tyrese have dated off and on for years, never reaching an engagement. And rumors swirled that Black Ty had actually proposed to Brandy at that baby shower. But he and everyone else cleared up that was far from the truth as he and Norma were actually the newly engaged couple. And it looks like the “just friends” duo tried to act like they weren’t together when spotted yesterday:

I was almost distracted by that foolishness on Brandy’s legs called her torn jeans. Other than that, I guess there’s no harm in two exes-turned-friends out shopping together. Right?
Faded Youth
UPDATE: It looks like Tyrese definitely didn’t want to be seen. Footage He popped off at the photogs and tried to make a quick getaway. You aint slick Black Ty. What you hiding’?….

I’m gonna need that hairpiec Brandy is rocking. She looks gorgeous!! But um…those jeans, no. She would’ve been better off wearing shorts. Them things look like a denim hungry polar bear attacked them.
Mon, November 17, 2008 1:06 PM
well, maybe her jeans got that way from carpet burns….You never know. And wtf is up with that weave! She should not represent a weave company!!!
Mon, November 17, 2008 1:06 PM
You know what a woman’s intuition is a mutha. In that first pic he looks guilty and caught. She does too.
Mon, November 17, 2008 1:07 PM
brandys pants look like she fell dumb hard and tore the knees and the holes just kept getting bigger..however waist up she looks great..even that weave is ok..they would be cute together tho
Mon, November 17, 2008 1:08 PM

Always in Hollywood, anytime two celebs are spotted together, they are dating. I hang out w/ my guy friends all the time and there’s nothing going on there.
Now, that’s not saying that they AREN’T dating…..
Mon, November 17, 2008 1:10 PM
They would make a cute couple
Other than that Brandy is looking cute, minus the jeans

Mon, November 17, 2008 1:12 PM
So I was happy at first because it seemed like for once, brandy actually looked nice and not awkward or unfashionable. But then I scrolled down and saw those horrid jeans. Wtf, someone smack sense into her, pleaseee!! She never can get it just right.

you think so? Well, my two best friends are guys and I am not the least bit attracted to them. One of them is married and the other is just not my type. I love both of them to death and they are handsome, well to do black men, but dating them would be almost incestous to me…lol. So that presents the age old question: Do you think that men and women can be friends?

I think Brandy needs to replace Latoya in the foolywang section immediately, as her friend he shoulda told her she looked a hot mess… anyway…
Mon, November 17, 2008 1:20 PM
those pants are hot in L.A. right now! I’m on Rodeo Dive right now at this moment and I’ve seen about10omen walk by wearing some form of this mess! I went to The Chick Down Town store on friday and a pair of torn jeans are between $300-$500! not worth it honey! I bhought myself a cute top and called it a day!

How come they just can’t be friends?! That makes me so sick everytime a man is spotted with a woman something has to be up. Sometimes that may very well be true, but in this case, they dont even look like their together. Maybe they just ran into each other while both were out shopping? Did that ever cross anyone’s mind?
Mon, November 17, 2008 1:22 PM
Tyrese looks nice.
I have no words for Brandy’s look. I wish her luck on her new album. Considering, they are not really playing her song on the radio that much.
Mon, November 17, 2008 1:22 PM
I heart Brandy. They make a cute couple if it’s true, but Tyrese seems to be arrogant and he’ll choose the woman that make him look best.

I think so, but only if there is no past relationship between them and no future for a relationship in the future.. Case in point: Me. My ex, and my first was my closest guy friend..then he started acting really weird and started to act really childish. So what did I have to do? I had to cut his ass off. I told him I wasn’t feeling him like that and he did this in retaliation..Not a grown ass man, but a childish little boy. So I do think so, but only if there are no emotional attachments on either end.

That’s crazy. I don’t care if you DO know him no woman better not ever come to me trying to tell me about my man. That’s why me and the ex’s could never be friends, one might slip up and I’d black out and wake up in jail.
Chile..I ain’t even tryin to meet the ex’s..fuck around and we have a situation at the wedding like Soul Food, when that stripper broad was grinding on Lem and Bird and her sisters was about to lay the smack down on that ass!!

Why can’t a boy just be a friend sometimes?
i’d agree, but more than likely it is cause the guy wants to smash…but just settles on being the friend.
you think so? Well, my two best friends are guys and I am not the least bit attracted to them. One of them is married and the other is just not my type. I love both of them to death and they are handsome, well to do black men, but dating them would be almost incestous to me…lol. So that presents the age old question: Do you think that men and women can be friends?
I think so, but only if there is no past relationship between them and no future for a relationship in the future.. Case in point: Me. My ex, and my first was my closest guy friend..then he started acting really weird and started to act really childish. So what did I have to do? I had to cut his ass off. I told him I wasn’t feeling him like that and he did this in retaliation..Not a grown ass man, but a childish little boy. So I do think so, but only if there are no emotional attachments on either end.
Foley what the hell…we got too much in common..down to where we work….lmao
Why can’t friends hang out together w/o anything popping off? I chill with my male friends – and that’s all it is – a friendship!

*dang that is so good i love that!! no drama!!
No drama NOW. his wife didnt understand that and was uncomfortable that we have remained friends (STRICTLY FRIENDS) She actually had the audacity to say my twins couldnt come over to her house. They were together for a year needless to say they are separated and in the middle of a divorce now.
even though the wife is being immature, I understand why she would feel that way but I don’t understand why she would have a problem with ur kids coming to their house. She is insecure, just like a lot of females. Its just some handle their insecurity better.
I mean but when u met him that was the situation. She just thought she could change things.

I politely went up to the school and asked the principal if I could go in his class room (with my belt) and see how many jokes he’ll crack afterwards!!! Of course, he didn’t let me do it and I was so upset I cried!….Them Darn Private Christian Schools!!!
Well me and my son’s father were together for years, engaged and I broke up with him but we remained friends. Once I had my twins he actually asked about being their Godfather. I thought he was joking. I actually thought about it and it seemed to be a good idea. He stood up in church with me and everything. It has worked out well. My twins are 4 and a half now and they know that he is their brother’s father but also their Godfather…lol Birthdays holidays heres there for all of them.
Hey my oldest sons father is my twins Godfather…lol
well damn, let me know how that worked out
Well me and my son’s father were together for years, engaged and I broke up with him but we remained friends.
That’s why you have to be careful when you decide to be with someone with kids….If she wasnt ready to take on all that she shouldnt have married him….
I’m going through the same thing….I’m not in love with the fact my guy has a daugther…..I’m glad she lives in GA….and I only have to deal with her when she comes to visit….during the summer…
Whew!!!
wow
————————————————————————-
What?
Because I’m woman enough to admit that I dont want to take care of another woman’s kids…..
Let’s all be honest with ourselves…if you had you choie would you pick the guy with kids or without the kids……
I’m not gonna lie, I don’t even give a guy the time of day if he says he has a child. I just feel like it’s unneccessary drama. But I give kudos to the men and women who have. It’s just not something that I feel open to.
———————————————————————–
So see I’m not the only one…he just lucked up…ad spit his game properly….I fell for it….Now I’m on my way to being a step mom!!!!!
Life sucks, LOL!!
It doesn’t suck….you can’t say that….people make it out to be more than it really is….put her mom’s bs aside and look at the child. You and her can turn around and be good friends. At least with knowing you gonna marry her dad that what you should take it as.

Kimmy,
I do agree. Children can feel when their not accepted just as I did when I was growing up. A child not being accepted by his or her father or mother lover will cause damaged not only to their relationship in the long wrong but it can mentally or emotion mess with a child.

So Many Comments.. So Little Time…
FIRST —why did brandy host a party for an ex-boyfriends new gf’s baby shower.. and why did the new gf allow the ex gf to host the party..
SECOND —they both look VERY aware of the paps and they both look VERY unhappy that the paps caught them out. actually in the 4th pic tyrese looks as if hes telling the paps to back off and stop taking pics… hmmm
THIRD –brandy’s jeans
FOURTH —refer to FIRST …..

correction: “long run but it can mentally or emotionally mess up a child.”
Sorry about that…. :)
Brandy and Tyrese would make a cute couple!!
Can’t wait for her album to drop.
What?! Why would you Brandy is lame her record will likely be of the same caliber as Michelle Williams. Tyrese is cute but Brandy is not
Mon, November 17, 2008 2:36 PM
I love Brandy, but honestly this is foolishness. Those jeans are not acceptable
Mon, November 17, 2008 2:51 PM
Brandy’s hair finally looks good…
I have to agree, kudos to her hair dresser.
Mon, November 17, 2008 2:53 PM
She was at the baby shower and y’all still trying to squeeze a rumor out of this, must be a slow day in the news, Ty looks delish as usual.
Mon, November 17, 2008 2:54 PM
Am I the only one who thinks Brandy should’ve just worn shorts or a skirt?
Anyways, nothing wrong with them being friends after their relationship busted up. Obviously wifey ain’t worried, so I don’t care. And if they WERE creeping, I highly doubt they’d be all in public with it.
Mon, November 17, 2008 2:54 PM
hosted a baby shower huh? keep your friends close but keep your enemies (or should i say competition) closer. i dont play that ish. my dude’s ex’s trying to be my friends is a no-go in my book. i got enough friends.chicks like that be trying to be too slick. they watching your every move so they can wait for you to mess up all the while creeping in your man back door. you better watch ‘em ladies.

I LOVE BRANDY AND SHE LOOKS GREAT!
Mon, November 17, 2008 3:21 PM
Brandy actually looks cute here…minus those horrible jeans. If they were really up to something I doubt they would b out together. Oh, yeah wasn’t Tyrese and his chick wearing wedding bands some months ago…or was it a front? Who really knows 4 sure…
Mon, November 17, 2008 3:22 PM

Mon, November 17, 2008 3:43 PM

Mon, November 17, 2008 5:14 PM
I Love Brandy’s True Religions.. They’re HOT!!!
Mon, November 17, 2008 5:19 PM
no that negro did not say in his faux-sincere voice “i’m very private.” negro please? i was at the same mall yesterday. it is a very PUBLIC outdoor mall. why would anyone who is so PRIVATE go to that mall? whatever. what he should have said is “i’m very messy.” hmmm, this situation with brandi seems very messy.
Mon, November 17, 2008 5:32 PM
What the FUK is Brandy wearing? That ish is not the business. YUCK!!!!
Mon, November 17, 2008 5:34 PM
Brandy looks cute and if she pulled tyrese Kudos to my girl!!!!
Mon, November 17, 2008 5:45 PM
I like your pants Brandy. I was in Cali once and this girl had on some pants that were ripped like your and those things were HOT. I don’t know if you ripped your own jeans or brought them that way but this girl said she cut hers up herself. I can’t describe them but hers were ripped worst than Brandy’s, but in a stylish way and they were FIRE! You all should’ve seen them I loved them damn jeans she had on. Ol girl could’ve been a designer for real.
Mon, November 17, 2008 6:24 PM
Where is this information coming from??? Brandy did not host the baby shower and her and Tyrese have never dated!
Mon, November 17, 2008 6:48 PM

Mon, November 17, 2008 7:19 PM

Mon, November 17, 2008 7:40 PM
I like Brandy’s jeans. Ain’t nothing wrong with wearing some slashed up rocker jeans every now and then. Some of you chics is too damn cute and crazy about high end fashions.
Mon, November 17, 2008 7:53 PM
I love Brandy I just wished she did’nt wear those jeans…She still look fab
Tue, November 18, 2008 2:18 AM
damn, brandy? did her jeans get caught in a door or some nails somewhere? Was there a loose cheetah running around century city that we didn’t know about? Or was she low on funds?
Tue, November 18, 2008 7:56 AM
i had no idea they ever dated..dang
hmmm me too! had no idea! lol…
Tue, November 18, 2008 8:39 AM
Hey isn’t Tyrese and Norma married? I hope that Brandy and Tyrese are just friends ’cause he is married to a fantastic and beautiful woman.
Tue, November 18, 2008 2:20 PM
I’m just wondering when Natasha’s going to update this story with the truth. I was previously under the impression that this site tries to dish out lies and false rumors. I know it’s hard but this ish has already been addressed multiple times. TYRESE AND BRANDY HAVE NEVER DATED! They’ve been friends for over 15 years now and Tyrese is already MARRIED, so what kind of sense does this post make? NONE!
