Lisa Wu’s Husband Ed Hartwell Speaks Out+Dallas Austin Blasts Kim+Mel B. Readies For PEEPSHOW
Ed Hartwell, former NFLer and Lisa Wu-Hartwell’s husband, is speaking out about all the drama going down on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”. He says he and Keith Sweat–Lisa’s ex and children’s father–are not cool and the drama with Kim is real:
ESSENCE.COM: A real man puts his foot down for his woman! So even after all the drama that has gone down between Lisa and Kim, which the blogosphere believe is staged, you have no regrets?
HARTWELL: No, and it’s not staged. Unfortunately, it’s as real as it gets. It’s not staged. I think it’s crazy because a lot of things that they are saying are lies. Did Lisa make a phone call to Kim? Yes. Did she threaten her life? No. [The ladies] are taking it way too far but eventually the truth will come out because there are only so many lies that you can continue to tell other people [before] they start mistrusting you, and after a while you lie so much you begin to forget your own lies, which has been happening. In the end, you ruin yourself and your reputation. It’s all catty. I know Lisa doesn’t do drama either, but she got dragged into it because she’s human and was offended.
ESSENCE.COM: So do you think your wife did the right thing by defending herself?
HARTWELL: I told her that I had to deal with this stuff all the time when I was playing ball, as far as all the negative comments. I told her to speak from the heart and give her rebuttal and leave it alone. If she didn’t speak on it, people will assume that it’s the truth if you remain silent. Lisa’s response was never to bash but to set the record straight and say her peace. The more she keeps it going, she will give Kim what she wants and that’s more attention. It’s not worth it.

HARTWELL: Me and my sons have a great relationship. I tell everyone I have three sons. They call me dad; I never say my stepkids, they are my sons. Every kid is different but they are both wonderful children. My eldest son is about to turn 14 and I have conversations with him that I can’t have with Justin. Jordan wants to train, so now we’re both training.
ESSENCE.COM; That’s great that you’re involved in their lives. Do you have a good relationship with their father, Keith Sweat?
HARTWELL: Not at all. The reason is because [when I started dating] Lisa there was a lot that I had to stop from happening. I had to lay down the law, man to man. Have I tried to work out some things and put our differences to the side for the sake of the kids? Absolutely. I don’t like to play games.

I saw our President elect this morning going through downtown Chicago. It was so exciting just to see the traffic control people stop traffic in all directions until he came through. It was such a proud moment just to be able to see him. He was on his cell and I’m quite sure he was handling business. It put such a huge smile on my face.

This whole damn show is funny! Lisa started the whole drama by going back and telling Kim and Sheree about the incident with NeNe singing and now she wants to act like she is neutral. come on now! i do like Lisa’s husband, but he is whipped! I am sorry for a grown woman to lose custody of her children (and to a man that is in the entertainment industry as unstable as they are) there had to be something really bad going on with Lisa in her life. It was just interesting to read a Yahoo article about Lisa going bankrupt at one point “Lisa claims to be an expert businesswoman, dabbling in both real estate and jewelry sales, but she hasn’t always had the success you’d imagine, and she filed for bankruptcy in 2007. Apparently, Lisa has also gone by multiple aliases in the past, including Sharon Millette Wu, Sharon Lisa Sweat, and Lisa Wu Sweat. WHAT?!” I liked Lisa the most and thought she was real, but I am questioning her now as well.

Uh uh S&J there are plenty. Coulours mag is one of them. Always women of color. Here in NY they got mags for everything and evryone. It’s just that a lot of women are stuck on Essence or don’t know anything else.

In her defense (maybe my first and only time), alot of Millionaire’s end up making bad business decisions and filing for bankruptcy. I dont evenknow how many time Donald Trump has filed for bankruptcy. Sometimes its in the lessons you learn along the way. I feel the same way sometimes. Its because we have allowed Christmas to become too commercialized. I only buy gifts now for my parents and I adopt a kid from a foster home to buy gifts for.[/quote]

I love Ed for having Lisa’s back, but bringing the kids into it is not cool. They really don’t have any business calling him dad, when they have a father in their life and their mother has only known dude for less than 2 years, that is disrespectful and I am sure Keith doesn’t have a good relationship with dude at all. The more I hear about this couple the more I understand keith not letting the children participate in this foolishness. Step families are difficult.

Iam disappointed in the Atlanta housewives, and I haven’t seen one episode, because my cable is out.

I actually like Lisa and Ed, but she is looking really shady, first she has all these alias’ filed for bankruptcy but married to Keith then ED within a year?(fishy) I really don’t condone the children calling Ed Dad, especially since they have a father in their life, that’s disrespectful and a man who had the children best interest at heart would not encourage it especially since the realationship is so new, but I’m old school. I really don’t blame Keith for not allowing the children to be involved in this foolishness.

If Eric did not go pro DeShawn would have been long gone. She looooves the money, and being in the spotlight, although no one is checking for her. She always trys to front, with the big staff and house she is trying to validate herself. Remember last week when she was talking to Lisa, and she said but ya’ll money is not guaranteed. Ok what time is her chunky butt playing on? Also this is why she had the big charity event, she really wanted everyone to see her house. I mean ask yourself who has a charity event, but does not have a cover charge on the plate to at least cover your expenses. Also who leaves invites at the mall. Everyone is sleeping on how much of a gold digger sweet Shawnee is.

Bellagio is a hotel and it has boutiques in there.I think it may be Prive’ (I forgot which club it’s been a while) may be in the Bellagio.My cousin took me to spa.The Forums is a mall with tons of stores.Vegas got plenty of places to shop and clubs to go to.The good clubs are in the hotels.

here is the recipe:
8 servings For the crepes:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup crushed ginger snaps
6 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 cups milk
2 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Vegetable oil as needed
16 six-inch squares parchment or waxed paper
For the filling:
1 pound cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
1/2 cup pureed fresh peaches
For the sauce:
1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 pound fresh peaches
1/4 cup peach liquor
1 cup butter pecan sauce
For the crepes: Combine the flour, ginger snaps, sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl. In a medium size mixing bowl, combine the butter, milk, eggs and vanilla and whisk until blended. Add the liquid mixture a little at a time to the dry mixture, whisking to dissolve any lumps. Whisk until smooth. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Lightly brush a 6-inch skillet with vegetable oil and heat over medium heat. When the pan is hot, remove from the heat and pour in 1/4 cup of the batter. Swirl the pan around to spread the batter evenly over the bottom. Return the pan to the heat and cook until lightly golden, 30 to 40 seconds. Turn the crepe over and cook the second side for about 15 seconds. Remove from the pan. Repeat the process until all of the batter is used, stacking the crepes between the squares of parchment or waxed paper to prevent them from sticking together. Set the crepes aside.
For the filling: In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the sour cream, sugar, peaches and vanilla. Beat until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. Put 3 tablespoons of the filling in the center of the lower third of each crepe. Fold the bottom of the crepe over the filling and roll up gently but firmly. Place the filled crepes on a large platter or baking sheet, cover lightly and refrigerate for 1 hour. In a large saute pan, over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the sugar and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes. Add the peaches and continue to cook for 1 minute. Add the liquor and simmer for 2 minutes. Add the butter pecan sauce and continue to cook for 1 minute. Add eight of the filled crepes to the pan and cook for 1 minute, basting with the sauce. Remove the crepes from the pan, set aside and keep warm. Add the remaining crepes and cook for 1 minutes, basting with the sauce. To serve, crisscross 2 crepes on each dessert plate and drizzle with the sauce.

Well I just wanna say that I loved last nights show Dallas put Kim on blast and basically told her look if you really wanna sing you need to step it up 100,000 notches otherwise sit down somewhere basically cuz you really have no talent. Michael Knight put Sheree on blast about trying to be a designer but not having anything to do with anything I mean she didn’t even pick out her fabrics for Christ’ sake she doesn’t sketch or anything I just really don’t understand her and I love Nene’s gay friend because even though he wasn’t on the show last night he be calllin it out before it even happens. Kim really does need a reality check about life in general she seems a little disconnected almost slow sometimes but it did say in the ending credits that her and Big Poppa broke up so maybe his wife found out or something IDK. And I commend Ed for speaking on behalf of Lisa it doesn’t hurt anybody for him to say his piece in all of it I think they have a solid foundation he’s just trying to be supportive of his wife. Overall all of their drama just gives me something to laugh about but does anyone know what exactly happened with Kim and Lisa to where Lisa even had to call her and all that in the first place???

I watched the show and I honestly believe that there was a huge undercurrent before all this. If you notice on the finale, NeNe said that she and Sheree’ had known each other for seven years and “had history.” Too, NeNe has known Kim for three years and knew who the mystery man was. Quite frankly, I think NeNe is very uncouth to say the least. She did talk really bad about these women [Kim and Sheree'] throughout the entire show. I don’t understand, all this over her name not being on the guest list to Sheree’s party and because Kim befriended Sheree’. There had to be something else that triggered this prior to the show. Secondly, I think Lisa got caught up in the fire. She just couldn’t be like DeShawn and leave well enough alone. Instead of playing both sides, she should have gone with the flow of the show or at least her “character”. I don’t think we would have all this back and forth if Lisa had taken the neutral side with DeShawn. Who, by the way, showed the best perception of a professional black woman on the rise in ATL. I commend her for being honest (not knowing how to cook, too) and being civil. You can’t blame the woman for having a chef if her husband could very well afford it. Overall, I think NeNe shouldn’t have dissed her friend, Kim. Obvious she’s not much better than Sheree’ for engaging in a friendship with a woman who dates a married man and gloats about how he has provided her with this lavish, overly-botoxed lifestyle. Sheree’ is very beautiful, and she knows it. Though I don’t think she cares two cents about whether the world knows she is pretentious. And Lisa should keep her nose out of other people’s business, regardless of the brown belt in Kajukenbo.

It sounds like many of you are ignorant on the subject of bankruptcy and I don’t have the inclination to break it all down for you, but I will say this…Filing for personal bankruptcy is sometimes the only course of action to relieve your financial strain, you don’t have to be living in “poverty” to file bankruptcy, filing for bankruptcy does not mean that one is broke, to the contrary one can still pay their normal expenses (rent/mortgage, utilities, car payments, food, clothing, etc)it means that a person owes more than they have (assets) to cover their debt/unsecured debt and filing for bankruptcy discharges those debts and allows one to keep whatever assets ($$) they have.

Fuck that, Lisa is phony as hell. She told Sheree, who told Kim. She was the only one who would’ve ran back talking shit. You know Deshawn and her husband didn’t. Just like when that bitch Sheree purposely excluded Nene’s name from her list, Lisa was right there instigating instead of diffusing the situation like a grown woman should’ve. When Nene was singing the song they showed Lisa saying “damn thats your friend”. Eventhough clearly the song was a joke. Lisa started this bullshit…….
